Ariana's POV

I drank my chai latte from starbucks whilst organising plane flights to San Francisco. I'm currently in New York doing interviews and what not. Fredo was on the laptop next to me.

"And the flights are booked! You're leaving on Sunday at 6:pm and arriving at 10pm" (A/N idk how far it is from NY to San Francisco😂)

"Yay! I'm so excited I can't believe this is happening"

"You're excited! Imagine how excited Penny is going to be when you show up!"

Fredo and I gathered our stuff and walked out of Starbucks, we were instantly swarmed by paps.

"Ariana are you planning on adding anymore countries to your tour?" One of the paps said.

I ignored them and walked straight to my limo and sat in the passenger seat. Opening my phone I texted Penny.

Ariana: just booked my flight to come get u next Monday bc i'm in New York atm

Penny: i'm hyperventilating i can't believe you're actually coming!

Ariana: RIGHT! i'm so excited as welllll

I turned my phone off and put it next to me.

"So you're really going to adopt a random number that texted you a couple days ago?" Fredo asked in confusion.

"Yup, is it a problem?"

"No it's sweet of you I just don't want it to be someone messing with you that's all"

"Awh you're sweet but I know it's not, I mean if it is than their ass will be in jail"

Fredo laughed and so did I. After all what sick minded person would make up a story that their parents left them?

I tried to stay positive.

Penny's POV

Scrolling through my instagram feed I came across a photo of Ariana on the discover page. I quickly liked it.

This is the woman that's adopting me next week. This gracious human being that I'm so grateful to know.

My eyes started to water but I held back my tears of joy. Instead I decided to call Ariana.

(A= Ariana P= Penny)

P= Hey Ari!

A= Hey babygirl! What's up!

P= Can I ask you something and can you answer honestly?

A= Sure!

P= Your a star with over 100 million followers, why would you want to adopt me?

A= I love you Penny and I don't think you deserve to be in that awful place. You need a family and I'm gonna give you that family

P= Okay than I'll see you next week. Bye!

A= Bye boo!

I hung up. Okay than? Who tf says 'okay than' after a celebrity just tells them they love you. Ugh why do I screw up even over the little things.
