Chapter 14 - Jodie (Final Chapter)

Jodie. Her name is Jodie. Jo for short. She is gorgeous. Lucas says that she is a mini version of me. Her blonde hair flows down her back. She has blue eyes that dazzle when she talks. Her plump lips are perfectly shaped. Her skins is paler than James' was but still dark because of the summer that has been and gone. She has a figure to die for and is very athletic. She is captain of the cheerleading squad of her high school. She got high grades in all of her final exams. I'm proud of her.

I haven't heard from Jack in years now. He tried to meet Jodie, and even take her away from me, a couple of times but I refused for it to happen. Jodie is at the end of her senior year. I have told her about her actual father but after telling her about the things he did to me and Lucas, she refused to meet him or call Lucas anything else lower than Dad.

Lucas. Lucas asked me on a date shortly after Jodie was born. He took on the role as father and asked me to marry him 2 years later. Of course, being the emotional person I am, I managed to say yes in between the tears. Now we are in the city, living our happily ever after.

Sometimes I feel sorry for Jo. She has no grandparents left (Lucas' parents passed away a few years ago) and she had to live knowing that her father could take her away at any time. But mostly, I am proud of her. I am proud that she has friends and goes out every other day, even though she is more than likely to be in danger. She puts my past behind her and doesn't let anything get in the way of her dreams. She will always be my brave little girl.

For me. I'm still constantly looking over my shoulder. Sometimes I even think I see Jack watching me from a distance but my councillor tells me that it is an illusion. I have recovered from all of my injuries, mainly thanks to Elaine, my beautiful councillor. Without her, I don't think I would've ever got over what I have done.

So overall. My life is turning for the better. It isn't so hard any more. For now it isn't anyway. But you never know when chaos will turn up.
