SCENE FIFTY FIVE
INT. SCIENCE CLASSROOM - DAY
JAMON talks to some friends of his. EVA goes in between him and another person.
JAMON:
(jumps) Woah! H-hey,
Eva!
EVA:
Are you... okay?
JAMON:
Yeah, yeah, um...
EVA:
Were you talking about
Me?
JAMON:
No, of course not!
You just scared me.
During the course of the class, JAMON and EVA keep sneaking looks at each other, looking away when the other sees them. JAMON is blushing slightly.
SCENE FIFTY SIX
INT. VEGAS AND EVA'S DORM - NIGHT
VEGAS and EVA are in their PJs. EVA stares up at the ceiling as they talk.
EVA:
Jamon has been acting
All weird and jumpy.
Did I say something?
VEGAS:
(smiles knowingly) I guess
He's just weird.
EVA:
You know something, don't you?
VEGAS:
Oh, no. Why can't I just
Smile when I'm happy?
EVA:
So you do know something!
What aren't you telling
Me?
VEGAS giggles as EVA keeps asking her. FADE TO:
SCENE FIFTY SEVEN
INT. JAMON AND KYLE'S DORM - NIGHT
JAMON is sitting on his bed while KYLE brushes his teeth.
JAMON:
I am the most awkward
Person on the planet.
KYLE:
You really like her, don't
You?
JAMON:
Shut up.
KYLE:
(playfully) But you do!
Oh, the joys of being in
Love.
JAMON:
What do you know about
Being in love? Real love,
I mean.
KYLE:
Quite surprisingly, a lot.
JAMON:
If you say anything to her,
I will murder you.
The room gets deathly quiet.
JAMON:
Crap. See? I am the most
Awkward person on the planet.
KYLE:
It's fine, bro. I won't say
Anything.
We can hear muttering in the background.
KYLE:
What's that?
JAMON puts his ear to the door. CUT TO:
HUNTER:
(talking on the phone)
Maria, calm down. You
Knew it was coming.
A muted reply.
HUNTER:
I had no control, okay?
It had to be done.
A louder reply, still unable to be heard.
HUNTER:
No! We can't tell her...
Please, Maria, be rational!
MARIA:
(parts cut off)
Murdering... not rational...
Sadie Winters...
HUNTER:
Maria, you can't call
Her. If you do, the
Punishment, not only
For you, but for her
As well...
Another muted reply.
HUNTER:
Fine! Do as you please!
Just remember, I warned you!
HUNTER shuts his phone off and angrily stomps away. CUT TO: JAMON staring back at KYLE. They hold each other's gaze for a moment before CUT TO
