Chapter 9- "stars they're cute...."

After I finished my third plate of amazing lasagna, I get up off the couch, and just as I'm about to make my way into the kitchen the door swings open and Red walks in laughing with my nibling on his shoulders, they were laughing too, snow was covering them both.

I stand in the kitchen doorway, leaning against the frame with a small smirk as I watch them silently.

Red carefully picks them up off his shoulders and sets them on the ground gently. They smile up at him brightly and hug him from the side. Red freezes momentarily, likely not expecting a hug, before slowly returning it.

"..he's not used to hugs..." I mentally smirk, "I can use that to my advantage in some way...surprise hugs~!" I mentally laugh at my own thoughts and watch as he lets them go, I move away from the doorframe and shortcut behind Red.

I wait for a few seconds then I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him against my chest, resting my chin on his head as he blushes brightly, "what are you doing....?!?!" He squawks, his voice cracking slightly. I hold in a chuckle and reply, "what does it look like? I'm huggin' ya!" He scoffs and grumbles slightly, attempting to push me away, I loosen my hold slightly and smirk, "what? Do you not like my hugs? I was always told I give great hugs..." I say, mock sadness in my voice.

"W-what..?? N-wha-I...!" He starts to fumble with his words and I can't hold it in any more, snorting slightly as I pull away from him.

~-~(Red's POV)~-~

I turn around and stare at them as they laugh. I blush slightly at their cute chuckles and snorts.

They begin to calm down and wipes a fake tear from their eye socket, looking at me with a wide smile, "you are SO adorable!" They gush, making me flush and look away, "they think I'm adorable...? Look at them!" I think internally, shaking my skull as my blush fades.

They reach over and poke my cheek slightly, "ya alright?" They ask, tilting their head in a curious manner that's almost cute. My blush returns faintly and I quickly avert my eye-lights again, "Y-Yeah...! I'm fine..!" I reply.
