(Your Pov)
I laid in his bed, staring at the ceiling for who knows how long. The sun was beginning to rise and Travis took me to his house around 3am. I tried to sleep off the event that happened that night but my mind wouldn't stop thinking about what happened.
(Flashback)
(Your POV)
"I'm sure you do" Travis told me with an unreadable expression before looking away again towards the window. We sat there for a few more minutes before Travis spoke up again.
" This isn't the first time they've sent out that flyer you got." Before he continued I interrupted him.
"Who?"
He didn't look over at me but took a shaky breath before continuing.
" Them, the inmates of hall C, the one who locked you in his cell was Anti. He's the most active thing in this asylum."
I shivered in fear, I could still hear his sickening laughter echoing throughout my head. At first I thought this was all a prank, or maybe a douchebag weekend worker coming to bug Travis but the way Travis was speaking suggested otherwise.
" When I first started working here, no one had the night shift, there was a name scheduled but no one ever saw him. I had found this job the same way you did, through that cursed flyer. I started with the night shift with no problem, nothing weird, nothing wrong, it was just, normal." He took a breath, " That didn't last long."
I was entranced by his story, wanting to know more. Travis went to continue but a large slamming traveled through the building. We both jumped out of our skins from the sudden sound. Travis leaped out of his bed and looked out of the window on the door to the nursery. I could see his face pale and his eyes widen in horror. I quickly got of the chair I was sitting in to see what the commotion was. I looked out the window and couldn't believe my eyes. I pushed past Travis and opened the door. Every cell door was wide open, and I mean every cell door. These doors weighed at least 5 pounds and were locked. There could be no way some wind was responsible.
Travis grabbed my wrist and stormed to the exit, dragging me along. He rushed over to his motorbike and started the engine.
"Hop on, we're leaving." He stated coldly. Not wanting to argue I strapped my helmet on and sat down behind Travis. He sped off down the hill and eventually made it to an old apartment within the town. He parked his bike in one of the parking spaces before hoping off.
"This is my house, I think it would be safer if we stayed together just for the night." He told me and I followed him up the stairs to his apartment door, room 234. He pulled out a keychain filled with many types of keys and placed one in the door, unlocking it.
" My bedroom is through that door, you can sleep in there for tonight, I'll sleep on the couch." I was about to disagree but he gave me a look that kept me from speaking out. I walked towards his room which was surprisingly extremely clean. I laid down on the bed...
(Flashback over)
And that's where I've been for the past 3 hours, just thinking. I decided to check on how Travis was doing so I got up and went out the door. I walked over to the couch but there was no Travis. I looked around and saw a note on the front door. After reading it my blood froze.
"Someone needed to close those doors -Travis"
(TBH idk why I'm updating this story a lot, I just got a lot of inspiration and couldn't keep it to myself for my usual weekend schedule, hope everyone is enjoying so far! This chapter is a bit shorter than usually but is needed)
