(Jack's POV)

I couldn't believe my eyes, I almost wanted to throw up. Anti sat on the floor with a person's head resting on his lap. Their face was coated in sweat and they seemed to be having a nightmare as their head would jerk occasionally. Their facial expression seemed pained, like they had a giant headache. Wilford leaned against the wall boredom, looking at his nails. They both seemed to be waiting for someone.

I took a few steps back, not believing what was right in front of me. I thought we banished them! They shouldn't be here, in person. They should be gone, in a whole other dimension yet here they were, standing in front of us as if to mock us. Who was the person in anti's lap anyways? Who were they waiting for? I had a feeling I knew who it was but I didn't want to believe he would be showing up to.

"Dark!" I heard mark yell, breaking the silence. The two egos looked up from their spots, looking a little shocked by our presence. Anti scanned the group before his eyes landed on me, smirking mockingly. I shifted under his gaze, not feeling prepared to face them so soon. Wilford chuckled, his eyes on Mark.

"So nice to see you! It's been awhile hasn't it? You should've told us you were coming, we could've prepared a nice welcoming party." Wilford chided Mark like a child, trying to get under his nerves. Mark's glare deepened as he kept his eyes on Wilford.

"Where's Dark?" He asked, clearly not in the mood to be joking around. The person in Anti's lap grimaced in pain the moment Mark said his alter's name. This action didn't go unnoticed by mark as he seemed more worried. Wilford let out a nervous chuckle,

"He's unfortunately a very busy man at the moment so he won't be able to join our little get together. But enough about him, how have you been?" Wilford asked, trying to change the topic from Dark.

"Dark, come out! I know you're here!" Mark yelled once last time. The person pained expression worsened as they began to shift around, twitching violently until black smoke pooled out from their mouth, forming into a shadow before forming into a person, Dark. We all took a step back as his presence was revealed. The room's atmosphere instantly changed, getting darker as ringing filled the air, everything surrounding dark went monochrome. Dark scowled,

"What are you doing here?" He asked Mark, I noticed the person laying on the floor's expression was more relaxed, as if they were sleeping. Anti stood up, placing the person's head softly on the floor before standing up and walking over to Dark, being more focused on Mark, Tyler, and Ethan than on me. I tuned out the banter as I inched towards the person on the floor. They obviously worked here as the night shift since they wore a name tag that read (Y/n).

I looked up to see Wilford looking at me and instantly froze, knowing he had caught me. I expected him to stop me but he just winked before looking back at the banter between Mark and Dark. He could be the most confusing ego of them all but I was grateful at the moment for it. I carefully picked up the person I now knew as (Y/n) and inched my way towards the exit.

"I'm not leaving here without (y/n)! I won't allow you to hurt others, you're my problem, not theirs." I heard mark yell at Dark.

"Well let's go then!" I yelled over to them. They all looked over and saw (Y/n) in my hands. Dark scowled as Mark, Tyler, and Ethan jumped into action and ran over. I ran down the stairs, not looking back to see if Dark or Anti where following us and ran out of the asylum, placing (y/n) in the car before sitting down myself. Mark, Tyler, and Ethan followed quickly behind me and mark drove off to our hotel...

(Dark's POV)

I glared at the door that they left through, knowing I couldn't follow any longer. I turned around, scowling at Anti who cowered behind Wilford who stood their with an emotionless expression.

"You two were supposed to keep an eye on things and make sure nothing went wrong! How hard is it to make sure no one enters this building! I almost had them in my grasp and it's been ruined! We don't have much time left to leave. Wilford, go get the boy, he's our only chance." I commanded, trying to keep my posture composed after the outburst. Wilford rolled his eyes before walking out of the building while Anti inched his way back upstairs, not wanting to be around me any longer. I scoffed before walking upstairs myself. 'My freedom will not be ruined by that fool..."
