(2rd POV)
An eery silence fell over the group as they approached the old hospital that loomed over them. You looked behind you at the group of men behind you who just gave you a smile to calm your nerves. After learning what must've happened to Travis, you found it hard to approach the hospital as carefree as you did with Jasmine . Just knowing why Travis was here in the first place made your stomach turn. Your mind was yelling at you to turn around and quit your job at the asylum, you didn't have to help travis out; you could just turn around and go back to a normal life. Your heart said otherwise. You knew if you wouldn't do it, no one else would. How could you turn your back on Travis after learning what he's gone through.
You shook your head and hands out to clear your thought and jitters and made your way into the building, with the group following you in toe. You made your way to the lady at the front desk who gave you a forced smile. You gave an awkward half smile back before asking if you and your 'friends' could go visit Travis. She flipped through some papers and typed something into the computer before picking up the phone, asking the doctors if Travis could have visitors. After a few minutes she hung up, telling you that you all could go see him for a couple of minutes and that he was awake.
Your stomach filled with butterflies at the words awake, surprised he was able to recover quickly but more worried as you had no clue what to say when you'd get there. "Travis should be this way." You muttered to the men behind you who nodded in acknowledgement.
You made your way upstairs to Travis' room, standing in front of the door in hesitation. "I'll enter first and tell him about the situation, then you guys can follow shortly after." You explained, fidgeting with your palms that began to get clammy. You slowly reached for the doorknob. Your knuckles turned white from holding it too hard. You squeezed your eyes closed and swung the door open. You opened your eyes to see Travis' eyes bulging out of his face, not expecting someone. He calmed down at the sight of your presence and gave a soft smile,
"Hey (Y/n)." You took a few steps into the room, slightly pushing the door closed but not fully. You sat down in one of the guest chairs and fidgeted with your hands, looking at the ground, trying to think of what to say.
"So... How long have you been awake?" You asked, still not looking at him.
"Since this morning, the doctors were pretty surprised to walk in and see my sitting up." He gsve a small chuckle, causing you to crack a smile again, glad to hear his voice again. You both sat there in silence for a bit, not sure on what else to talk about. You could mention the asylum but you were sure that was the last thing Travis would want to hear about.
"Anyways, I know this is a little fast but... I, I found some people who could help us with the asylum problem." You stated, looking Travis in the eye. The color drained from his face.
"What do you mean asylum problem?" He asked, obviously not wanting it to be what he thought you were talking about.
"The reason why you're here. The reason why you don't want anyone to work the night shift, why you've lost your outgoing side, why Jasmine worries so much! You don't have to be alone in this problem anymore, I... we can help you." I told him. He just gave me a concerned/worried look. The door squeaked open with Mark peeking his head in before taking cautious steps in. Travis' face paled even more, the heart monitor began to race.
"(Y/n) what have you done! How did he get out of the asylum?! This wasn't supposed to happen!" He freaked out, the heart monitor began to freak out, beeping like crazy. Mark's face instantly changed to a frightened look, obviously not expecting the reaction. None of us expected Travis to react like this, how silly of us. Even I freaked out when I first saw them and I've barely seen Dark and Anti. Travis has probably known them for years.
"Stay away from them!" He yelled at Mark.
"Travis, it's ok, it's not Dark, trust me!" I told him. He looked in my direction, his eyes flickering back towards Mark.
"You don't understand their power (y/n). I don't know who you think that is but they're not the good guy. Stay away from them! You leave my friends out of this! We made an agreement to leave them alone!" He yelled at Mark who looked concerned and confused at the same time.
"You should probably leave." I muttered to Mark who nodded in agreement. He made his way out, closing the door behind him. Travis' heavily breathed with fear still coursing through his blood.
"You can't trust him (Y/n). Dark is using.. Using you." He muttered through his shaky breath, tears swelling in his eyes. "You must leave before Friday with.. With Jasmine. He'll, he'll use you, for.. His..." the last breath of words left his mouth before he collapsed onto the bed, passing out. You let out a worried shriek, alerting the whole hospital to the room.
