N I A L L

She’s the good girl, can’t do any wrong and I haven’t decided on whether I like that or if that utterly pisses me off. Because I know that if I try to get her to go on an adventure with me, she will deny it. She won’t want to, because she doesn’t know if it’s the right thing to do, and if she has the slightest bit of doubt with something—it will get in the way. I nibbled on my lip, thinking of the ways to get her to go to the next city with me. Ditch this town completely, where no one knows us. It’s like, she won’t get shit for being with a greaser, and I can flaunt my feelings for her without anyone making a big deal. Niall Horan, the boy who has never fallen for someone, has found… well love? If that’s what this feeling was, I wasn’t totally sure.

“What are you thinking about?” she ditched school again, which took some convincing on my part.

“Nothing, just—nothing.” I smiled shyly, cooking the breakfast that she insisted we have this morning. “You want toast too?”

“No, that’s fine. Hey, you think we could go to my house today? Kinda need a few things and who knows when I’ll be able to stay there again.” She sighed, swirling around her glass with orange juice still inside.

“You think that’s a good idea? What if your dads there, that’s a bit risky, Mary.”

“I just want a few of my things. Pillows and blankets, you know then I won’t have to keep bugging Harry or you for some. And frankly you steal the blankets in the middle of the night, and I’m left shivering!” she laughs.

“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Just kick me, steal the covers back.” I pushed out a laugh, setting the plate in front of her as I noticed her smile faded. “What’s the matter?”

She shook her head, “I just want to go home.” Her bottom lip quivered before she took in a sharp breath, her eyes becoming less watery with every breath and blink she took. I pulled a chair up beside her, hesitating before wrapping my arms around her, her body scooting closer to mine and before I knew it she was sitting on my lap with her head on my shoulder. My hand running up and down her back.

“You want me to sing ya some songs?”

“You sing?”

I shrugged, “Not really, but I can give it a try… for you.” I smiled, pecking her cheek without even realizing I did so till I was in the bedroom getting the guitar. Her hand rested on her cheek, a small smile on her face before she realized I was in the room once again, her hand quickly falling to her side.

I nodded towards the couch, “Come sit over here.” I grinned, taking a place on the couch, shortly followed by Mary who was sitting on the opposite end, with her back against the arm as she faced me with her knees pulled to her chest.

Baby I’m yours, and I’ll be yours untill the stars fall from the sky

Yours until the rivers all run dry, in other words until I die

Baby I’m yours, and I’ll be yours until the sun no longer shines

Yours until the poets run out of rhymes in other words until the end of

Time, I’m gonna stay right here by your side, do my best to

Keep you satisfied, nothing in the world could drive me away,
