Chapter 8

Athena's P.O.V

    Well, being back in my baby's arms, I'm feeling amazing. I've never been more relaxed now than ever before. I take a deep breath, inhaling his certain smell of a bonfire and the woods. 'I've missed you so much...' i say through our link. He just growls and pulls me closer. I let out a small whimper in need of him because that's how bad i've missed him. I've been a hundred times more crankier than usual without him with me. I jump and he holds me bridal style but I don't care. I've missed all of this for almost 17 years. I'm NOT gonna miss this again. I extend my canines and bite down hard on my older mark connecting us to renew our bond. His grip tightens on me and i just grin, nuzzling the side of his neck like how i used to. He does the same to me and i can hear the kids snickering and laughing at us behind us. I tap Kane to let him know to put me down for a minute.

    I walk over to the kids mates and run my hands across them and they both at the same time clamp down on their mates, causing them to gasp in shock. I can hear them screaming in their minds and I giggle at it. "Oh hush, both of you. You'll get used to it soon." I say, laughing my butt off. Kane and I walk to the conference room, hand in hand...~
