The Reception

One shot based off of what might've happened if the curse wasn't cast after Emma and Hooks wedding. Picks up after they all go to granny's for the reception. Remember to vote and comment!

Emma and Killian couldn't be happier. They were married now and they could celebrate it with their whole family. Which was practically the whole town.

After the reception they had all headed to Granny's for a grand celebration Snow and David found fit for a princess.

They had decorated the entire care with lights and streamers and had moved all the tables over to make room for dancing.

Emma and Killian had just walked in after Snow had taken a 'few' pictures of them after the reception.

By a few, she meant around a hundred.

When they walked in the entire shop erupted into cheers and Emma blushes hiding her face in Killians shoulder.

Music began to play and Killian led Emma to the dance floor for their first (technically 2nd) dance.

The song was The Words by Christina Perri.

The whole diner was silent as the couple gracefully danced across the room not paying any attention to anyone but each other.

Emma gazed into Killians eyes and stepped even closer to him closing what little space they had left between them and connecting her lips with hers as the song came to an end.

They could've stayed like that forever but a certain over protective father cleared his throat causing the two to slightly separate.

"Sorry to interrupt but may I borrow her for a dance?" David asked the two.

Killian kissed Emma on the cheek and pulled away.

"Of course."

David began dancing with Emma as another song began playing in the background.

"Im happy for you Emma. I've never seen you this happy. Im glad you found your true love."

Emma smiled and glanced over at Killian who was having a conversation with Henry.

"Me too dad. I've never been this happy. Not even with Neal."

He spun her around and laughed.

"That much is obvious. As much as I hate to say it the pirate sure has grown on me. Especially since he makes you this happy."

"Yeah he does tend to have that effect on people."

They both laughed and the song came to an end.

Killian stole Emma back from David and the two walked away from the dance floor.

"Did I ever tell you how amazing you look tonight Love?"

Emma laughed.

"Only about a million times. You don't look to bad yourself."

He smirked and they went over to get some food. Grilled Cheese with onion rings.

Obviously there was other fancier food as well but neither Emma or Killian found anything wrong with eating a good grilled cheese to celebrate.

However both of them knew Regina wouldn't approve of just the sandwich. So they also served lasagna and a variety of other things.

The rest of the night went by in a giant blur. They talked to almost everyone in the diner and received several congratulations.

Killian was just glad everyone seemed to finally accept them as one of them.
