This will probably be a one shot that is basically just a moment between Emma and Killian that occurs on the Joly Rodger after they 'defeat' pan and leave Neverland.

Killian approached Emma cautiously. She was standing along looking out at sea and for once, it seemed he might get a moment alone with her.

"You alright Swan?" He asked coming to stand beside her.

She turned her head to face him. "I'll be better once we get off this god damn island." She mumbled.

Killian understood the feeling all too well. He had spent years of his life trying to leave Neverland. "Aye love. Me too."

He was surprised that she didn't scold him for calling her love as she often did, but he was glad.

"Thank you," She said quietly, turning to face him. "If you hadn't come with us I'm not sure we would have succeeded."

Killian smiled but shook her head. "I think you underestimate yourself. You would have saved your boy with or without me, but I'm glad I was able to be of assistance."

"Me too." Emma said simply, now looking back towards the window.

Killian watched her carefully to try to read her emotions. He didn't want to stay longer then she wanted him to, but he could sense that she enjoyed the company.

In fact, Killian was planning on starting a new conversation when loud footsteps inturrupted them and Neal came through the doorway, casting a glare at Killian when he saw him.

"Hey Emma. Can we talk?" He asked, completely ignoring Killian.

Emma glanced down at Killian quickly and then looked back at Neal. "Can it wait? Killian and I were talking."

Neal flinched at even Killian's name and shook his head. "It's kind of urgent."

Rolling her eyes Emma tilted her head. "Is Henry ok?"

Neal nodded.

"Are my parents ok?"

Again, Neal nodded.

"Is anyone dying, sick, or injured?" She asked with annoyance lacing her every word.

"Well no but-" Neal started.

Emma inturrupted. "Then it's not that urgent. I'll be up in ten minutes." She said defiantly.

Neal sighed but slowly troudged back to the deck.

Emma turned towards Killian with a sigh of her own. "Was he like this as a kid?" Emma asked Killian.

He raised an eyebrow. "What? Whiny? Arrogant? You'll have to be more specific love." He said, not able to hide the smirk that slid upon his lips.

Emma laughed. "Was he always this much of an ass?"

Killian was surprised by her response. He was under the impression that she wanted to go back to him.

"I thought you wanted to go back to him." He asked, confused.

Emma shook her head. "So does he, but I can't ever forgive him for what he did. He was a coward. There's no excuse for that...and now he expects me to run back into his arms with no hurt feelings."

Killian nodded, looking back down at the ground. Neal did seem to expect Emma and him to get back together.

But he would be lying to himself if he said a part of himself wasn't hoping that part of her reluctance to do so was that she was developing feelings for him as he was for her.

"What will you tell him?"

"I'm not sure yet. The truth. That I won't ever go back to him and he needs to move on. Speaking of which, I should probably go do that now...I'll see you later. Bye Killian." She said walking up to the main deck.

Killian felt his heart speed up when she called him by his name. Normally it was just Hook, which he was fine with, but he much preferred Killian from her.

Killian was left alone, quietly wondering what in the bloody hell he could do to prove how much he cared for Emma.

Hours later the Jolly Rodger was well into it's flight home and the heros were trying to discuss rooming arrangements.

There were two rooms with queen sized beds and one room full of hammocks and bunk beds.

Henry was currently occupying one of the bunk beds so Regina decided to take the bottom level of his.

Snow and David were given the other queen bed.

This left Killian, Emma, and Neal to decide where everyone would go.

"There's only hammocks left in the crews room now." Killian told them.

Neal shrugged. "What if Emma and I share your bed and you take the hammock?"

Emma shook her head with disgust. "I think it would be better if you took a hammock to yourself. I told you Neal, I'm not getting together with you again." She said quite harshly.

"Fine. But where will you stay Emma?"

Killian inturrupted. "You can stay with me love, I can sleep on the chair and you can get the bed."

Neal frowned. "Whatever." He said walking away.

"Thank you, but you don't have to take the chair. A queen size bed is big enough for two people if your okay with sharing?"

Killian restrained himself from grinning. "Aye love, of course. As long as you don't mind."

"I don't." She said honestly.

Killian nodded towards the room. "You should go on down, I've got to make sure the course is set before I head down. I shouldn't be long."

Emma nodded and left him alone on the deck.

Inside the room she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes almost instantly. Sleep had evaded her during the entire mission to save Henry. Now all the exhaustion was kicking in.

She had nearly fallen asleep when she heard the door open. Not wanting to make Killian think she was waiting for him, she stayed still.

Killian kneeled beside her, believing that she had already fallen asleep. Sighing, he gently brushed a stray price of hair behind her ear and placed a kiss on her forehead that was so light, Emma thought she might have imagined it.

"Goodnight love." He whispered, sliding beside her in the small bed.

Relishing in the feeling left behind on her skin from his touch, Emma finally fell asleep.

So this turned out to not be short at all. I also felt like I could have gone on but wanted to possibly divide it into two parts. Let me know if you would like to see a part two.

Like always, I hope you enjoyed and please vote and comment if you did.
