Modern Day Sailing

We went on the lake today for my birthday and I kept thinking about how Killian would react if Emma took him on a speed boat so here it is.

Emma and Killian had something they didn't get often in Storybrooke.

A day to themselves.

Henry was at Reginas the whole weekend, Snow and Charming took Neal on his school feildtrip, Hope was at a friend's house all day and was spending the night, and the rest of the town was safe for now.

Emma had thought about what to do with him for a day and decided to go sailing with him. Only with a speedboat instead of a sailboat.

When they woke up that morning Emma packed both of them plenty of drinks and food for the ocean before waking him up and forcing him to get dressed so they could leave.

They got to the docks and Killian was confused.

"Are we going on the Jolly love?"

Emma shook her head. "Not today. As much as I love the Jolly Rodger I wanted to take you on my world's modern boat."

Killian frowned slightly at not taking his own ship but agreed upon seeing the excited look on his wife's face.

Emma led him over towards the speed boat she had borrowed from one of the dwarves who owed her a favor and another one of them showed her how to drive it.

The boat was fairly small and had couch like seating in the front  and two seats in the back that were elevated.

Killian stepped on the small boat first and helped Emma on before helping her untie the boat from the dock.

As Emma sat in the driver's seat Killian stood beside her confused.

"Love, my ship is much larger then this vessel. Are you sure you don't want to take the jolly?"

Emma laughed slightly. "Killian just sit down." She said as she started to pull away from the docks.

Killian reluctantly did so and Emma gave him a smirk before making the boat go faster.

Killian was still unimpressed. "Swan the Jolly can go this fast."

Rolling her eyes Emma put the boat on full speed out towards the open ocean so that the boat was going near 40 mph.

Killians eyes blew open and he looked at Emma with a grin as the wind blew through his hair.

Emma laughed in her success as the boat lightly bounced up and down from the waves.

"This is bloody amazing swan!" Killian yelled over the wind.

"I figured you'd like it. Doesn't quite match up to the Jolly rodgers looks and size but it's faster!"

The couple drove the boat around for another 20 or so minutes before Emma slowed down to a stop in the middle of the ocean.

She took out the fruit and bagels she packed them for breakfast and sat down in the front with Killian.

"It's nice to have a day just the two of us." Emma told Killian.

"Aye, I wish we got those more often."

"Me too." Emma admitted.

Killian wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead.

"Thank you for taking me out on this speedship. "

"Speed ship?" Emma asked laughing.

"Isn't that what this is?"

"No it's a speed boat." Emma clarified while laughing, "and your welcome."

They finished eating and Emma took off the cover up she had been wearing to reveal a red bikini.

Killian had seen Emma in a bathing suit before but none like this one. She looked breathtaking. His jaw gaped open as he stared boldly.

While Killian was staring Emma lowered the anchor and then walked towards Killian.

Emma smirked. "Like something you see?" She teased.

"You know I do love." Killian smirked.

He took off his shirt so he was in his swim trunks and Emma put her hand on his chest and stepped towards him.

Her lips moved towards his and she got so close he could feel her breath on his.

She pulled away at the last second.

"Last one in the water is a codfish!" She yelled before trying to run to the edge.

Killian frowned and grabbed her before she could go anywhere. "Bloody siren." He teased before picking her up bridal style and then proceeding to run to the end and jump off with his wife in his arms.

The both came to the surface laughing and Emma kissed Killian.

"I guess neither of us is a codfish." She giggled.

"I suppose not. Although it was rather rude of you to leave a man without a kiss."

Emma giggled again. "My sincerest apologies. Let's see if I can make up for it."

Emma connected their lips and wrapped her arms around his neck while deepening the kiss.

She and Killian were both staying afloat by only their legs kicking.

Killians hands tangled in Emma's ponytail and he pulled her closer.

"Ow." Emma said pulling away with a start.

"What? Did I hurt you?"

Emma laughed. "You kicked me."

"Are you alright love? I didn't hurt you did I?"

Emma laughed again. "No it just shocked me. Maybe we should go back on the boat now. It's kind of difficult to make out in the water."

Killian laughed and agreed. They swam over to the ladder and got back onto the boat.

After a few more stolen kisses and a few sips of rum they both started driving around again.

After hours of being on the boat it was finally sundown and Emma and Killian sat on the edge of the boat watching the sunset.

"You know what this reminds me of?" Emma said.

Killian shook his head.

"It reminds me of when I found out my parents darkened lilys heart to keep mine good. You came and found me at the docks and we watched the sunset. You told me it was your job or that that you hoped it was your job to protect my heart."

"Aye love. I remember. It still is. I'll always try to protect every part of you swan. Including your heart."

Emma smiled and put her head on his shoulder.

"I think we need to send our family away more often." Emma joked.

"Perhaps we should swan. I would do just about anything for more days like this with you."

Emma smiled. "Mmhm. Me too. But I guess for now today will hold me over for a little while."

"I suppose I can wait a little while. Perhaps we could get your parents to watch Henry and hope while we go on a date night one day soon."

"I'd say that's a great idea."

"I love you Emma."

Emma smiled. "I love you too Killian."

Sorry this kind of sucked but I couldn't not do this and it's been a while so I just did it.
