"Sarah, its me... when I'm sure you already know that, but please come back. I miss you and I'm sorry, we can work this-"
I clicked off the voicemail, clicking on another.
"Hey, Grayson says you wont answer any of his calls or text's, I thought I'd give it a try even though I know that you won't answer, but I thought I'd try any-"
I just kept clicking on different ones, not even fully listening through them.
"Look, I'm sorry for what I said, can you please just come back home so we can work this out like we always do? Baby, I'm sorry."
Instead of just erasing them all, I locked my phone, tossing it on the couch behind me, before I walked out of the room.
"Are you okay?"
I didn't recognize the voice from behind, when I tuned around I see who it was.
Candice. Aaron, sister.
"Aaron told us what happened."
"I'd be lying if I said I was okay."
"Why are you still wasting your time on him? You should be treated better like that, if someone can't handle you being friends with my little brother, without getting jealous then he's not worth it."
"You- you just don't understand."
"What don't I understand? Try me."
"I know that he has been treating me a little off lately, but I don't want to leave him and leave his life behind like it never happened because of the way he's acting. People have there days, where they will be touch or moody with something, Grayson is having one of those days and I need to be there for him." I smiled lightly. "I'm in love with that tall, manly child. Yeah, go ahead and say it, I'm falling in love too soon, but you know what?"
"What?"
"He's worth it, he's worth whatever I have."
"What about Ethan?"
That was a voice that I would never forget, but I didn't know that he was in the room, nor did I know that he was listening.
"What about him? I've gotten over him a couple of months ago, now its his turn. Theres only one person that I want to be with, and thats Grayson."
When I looked at him, he was full of smiled.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Just call Grayson, Sar."
"Why?"
"The both of you need to talk, work this out and stop running away from your problems. Love is tough. I get that, but like I said, you guys need to figure it out."
I was most certainly not running away from my problems, this time.
Well, I walked out of the hospital, but he ran into me, so thats on him.
But, he was right about one thing, love is tough.
Tough Love.
I didn't want to call him, but I didn't have a choice because I knew that if I didn't call him, he would call from his phone.
"Fine, but I'm doing it alone."
I reached for my phone, which was on the couch, where I had previously had thrown it. When I grabbed it, I swiped through my contacts, until I found Grayson's. I walked outback, calling him.
Of course, he answered.
"Sarah?"
"Hey." I said softy.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Of course I was lying. "I'm being told to talk to you, to figure things out."
"What do you mean?"
"Aaron wanted me to call you to figure this out and that we needed to stop running away from our problems."
"Hold on. No you can't talk to he- Ethan stop; Ethan wants to talk to you."
"Eh, I kinda just want to talk to you."
He must of heard what I said because the yelling stopped.
"Thank you."
He requested a FaceTime call, so I accepted it even though I looked like complete trash.
(Okay, mini shoutout time, if you haven't already seen or heard of them, there is Youtube channel, actually called Trash. You should really check them out, its a daily vlogging channel. There is someone new for each day of the week. Personally my favorite day of the week on Trash, is of course Tuesday's because Jackie posts, but you should still give them a look at.)
"Well, you look beautiful today."
"Stop that."
"Well, I'm just telling the truth." He said smiling. "I miss you, you know."
"I know, I miss you too."
"No, I mean I miss being close with you," His smile faded. "I want to be close with you again, I want to be that person that you run to when your having an issue with something."
I didn't say anything, I just listened.
"I miss getting into those really heated arguments with you, only because I knew that something good would happen at the end of it." He laughed softly with made me laugh in return. "Them were the best fights, but now we don't do anything, because someone keeps leaving every time we fight."
"Shut up, Grayson." I said chuckling. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay."
"No, don't say that because we both know that its not okay. I'm sorry that I got that close with Ethan, I'm sorry that I got this close with Aaron, as much as I am. I don't know how many times I have to say this, I'm close with him because It's like having an older brother, that I never had."
"I know-"
"No, you really don't know, you have Cameron and Ethan. I don't have that, I don't have any siblings."
"Babe."
"What?" I asked looking at the screen, then I turned around looking up from my phone. "Grayson, babe? What are you doing here?"
I ended the call, tossing my phone in the chair behind me, jumping in his arms, hugging him. He wrapped his arms around me, squeezing me, but not too tight.
I buried my face in his neck, placing small kisses on it knowing that's his weakness. "I missed you." My words came out as muffles.
(Lol, I made it seem like they haven't seen each other in about 5 years. Wow, this story is legit trash, oh my goodness.)
"I missed you too baby girl."
