Chapter Fifteen

   By the end of the week, everything had calmed down in Hinata's world, and as she played Soccer in gym class, she didn't have a care in the world. Sakura dribbled the ball between two guys before passing it to Hinata, before she kicked it with hopes that it would go in. She smacked her teeth when Kiba intercepted it.
Another girl on their team tried to battle with him for the ball, and she got it, before passing it to Ino. This time Hinata ran closer to the goal where she got it passed to her, before she sent it in. The girls cheered, as the boys blamed Shikamaru for not blocking the ball.
He shrugged, obviously not caring.

As everyone knew, Shika wasn't the most competitive guy, so they all were disappointed when coach assigned him to their team.
Since Guy, their gym teacher, made them switch positions every time the boys got possession of the ball, Hinata was now goalie.
As the boys played offense, Lee ran past everyone and kicked it toward her. It was coming fast, but she still tried to block it, and send it back out toward Sakura.

While Kankuro tried to battle her for the ball, Sakura said, "You're not getting it." He looked up into her Emerald eyes for a split second, and she was off, leaving him on the turf field. Passing the ball to Ino, she tried to score, only for Shino to intercept it and kick it out to Kiba. Once it got back to Lee, Hinata knew that he had the intention of scoring, so she prepared herself to block it. When he kicked it, she did just that by diving to the ground, and though she got up fast, it wasn't fast enough as everyone watched his second kick cause the ball to go straight to her face.

Cursing underneath her breath she fell to the warm grass. Groaning, she brought her hand to her head as her vision got blurry form her tears eyes. Getting on her knees, she held her bleeding nose in her hand, as she heard Sakura ask, "Hinata, are you okay? Can you hear me?"
She grabbed her face softly and told her to open her eyes. Hinata nodded in response, not wanting to say anything because of her pounding headache. "Hold your head back, Hime." Naruto said in a soft tone, before she felt him pick her up.

"Naruto, I'm fine, I can walk." She said laughing a little, and he looked down at her, "I'm taking you to the nurses office, Hime, just rest your eyes."
She nodded and tried to do as he said, but then she started to feel sick. "Naruto. Put me down, I feel sick."
"Get me a trash can?" He asked someone, but it was too late, because she threw up all over his shirt. "Uh." He said, she wanted to cry from embarrassment, until she felt herself about to throw up again. "Naruto, put me down." Holding her hand over her mouth, he put her down before Sakura handed her the trashcan.

As she puked in front of the entire class, Sakura held her hair back, and rubbed her friends back soothingly. When she sat the trash can down, she tried to walk away, but got dizzy while closing her eyelids. As she wandered aimlessly, she felt hands grasp her waist, which she recognized as Naruto's. Thinking he was a wall because of her disorientated state, she leaned on him, until he started talking.
"Do you still feel sick, Hime?" Naruto asked before scooping her up in his arms again, she opened her eyes slightly to see he had a new shirt.

"I don't anymore, but I'm sorry for your shirt." She apologized feeling embarrassed all over again. "It's fine, Hime. Nurse Shizune, she got hit with a soccer ball in gym." Naruto said to a dark haired woman with onyx eyes.
"Sit her on the bed please." He did as she said and she sat in front of Hinata. "Hi, Honey, how do you feel?" The bed was very comfortable, as her head sunk into the pillow. Though she was in pain, she smiled at the nurse, "I have a headache, and my face hurts." She nodded, giving her a tissue for her now dried bloody nose.

"Anything else? Where'd you get hit?"
"She threw up too." Naruto commented before pressing an ice pack lightly against her cheek,
"The side of my head." She answered, she nodded. "Have you been dizzy?"
"Only when I try to walk." She said, and Shizune nodded. "I'm going to call your parents, it sounds like you might have a concussion and you need to be taken to the hospital." Hinata groaned, "Concussion? But I just made the volleyball team." Naruto kissed her hand, "You're health is more important than a silly volleyball team."
"It's not silly. Oh and my dad is in court right now." She said with a yawn, just as she picked up the phone. "Well do you have an adult to take you?"

"N-"
"My dad could take her?" Naruto suggested, and Shizune looked at Hinata for any disapproval, "Is that okay with you? We need to get you there sooner than later."
"Um, I don't know, I don't want to be a drag."
Hinata said, before squinting her eyes from the pounding headache. Shizune lightly pressed her hand to her forehead, as she shined a light into her lavender eyes. "You won't, he's not even working today anyway. I'll give him a call, Shizune." She nodded, "Okay Naruto. As for you, Hinata? Do you need any water? You can't sleep, until you have a complete diagnosis."

Ignoring her question, Hinata laid on the comfortable pillow, and closed her eyes as Naruto squeezed her petite hand, "Hime."
He whispered, while on the phone with his father. As she frowned, he laughed a little "Okay Dad, we'll be here." Kissing her forehead, he hung up the phone. "I'm going to kill Lee, as soon as we leave the hospital."

   "Thanks, Dad, really." Naruto said to his father, as Hinata laid in her hospital bed.
She was waking up from her short nap, to find that her headache was gone. While she was awake, she had a few test ran before the doctors came to the conclusion that she had a minor concussion. "No problem." Minato said with a smile, as his eyes met Hinata's.
  "I see sleeping beauty is finally awake."
He said with the same blue eyes as his son,
Hinata smiled a little. "Hi, I want to thank you." She said to him, and when he smiled back at her, his blue eyes sparkled, just like Naruto's did. Kushina is a lucky woman.

"It's no problem. I'm glad I could help."
He said, "I talked to your dad earlier by the way, and he's on his way here."
"Oh okay." She was confused on how he got his number, but then she realized something more important. Naruto hadn't seen her dad since that night. "How are you feeling, Hime?" Naruto asked standing in front of her, while interlacing their fingers. She blushed, "Better." He smiled and kissed her knuckles, "Good."

Suddenly her dad came walking through the room doors, with his usual suit and tie. "Hinata, are you okay?" He asked standing on the other side of his daughter. She scrunched her forehead, as her headache started to come back. Naruto looked at him and she knew that her dad forgot all about, "My knight in shining armor."
"Hiashi, she needs her rest. I'll tell you everything outside." Minato said standing up, and her dad nodded before looking at Naruto.

"I'll stay with her." Hiashi nodded before following Minato's outside the room. "I'm sorry again for throwing up on you." Hinata said with a small smile, "It's fine, Hime." She felt myself blush, "Naruto?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you." He smiled brightly, "It's no problem."

"How was court?" Hinata asked her father as he drove her home. "Good actually, I think I'm gonna win this one." She nodded, "I'm going to tell the school you won't be there for the rest of the week, so get plenty of rest."
"And no friends over the house." She groaned, "Fine, Dad."
"Now, I hope you thanked Minato and his son."
"Definitely, and his son's name is Naruto." Nodding he asked her, "How's volleyball?"
"Good, but now I can't even attend practice."

"You'll be fine, Hinata, just get plenty of rest and you'll come back better than ever." Smiling, she closed her eyelids as he continued driving. "I hope so, Dad."
"I'm glad that you're okay, Hina, who was the kid that did it again?"
"Dad, I don't remember, it was a stupid accident." She lied, and though she wasn't looking at him, she knew that he was rolling his eyes. They stayed in a comfortable silence all the way home, and the only thing on her mind was Naruto.
