Two weeks later, Hinata and Gaara sat in their math class, laughing about a joke he made, while other seniors occupied the seats around them. They conversed about how her family would be going over for dinner, at his house later that day. "My parents are just gonna compare me to Neji the whole time." He said while sighing, "I noticed he does do that a lot, but my father does the same. He made Neji transfer to Calculus because your dad bragged about you doing it." Hinata said while shrugging her shoulders.
Gaara looked a little surprised, "He bragged about me?" She nodded, and wondered why he was so surprised about that.
"Of course, he does all the time actually
. Not only do you in excel in academics, but in sports too. He can't stop talking about how proud he is."
Gaara shrugged, and was about to say more, until the bell rang and Mr. Sanju stood up, to introduce whatever new concept they were learning.

"Our dad's are coworkers." Hinata explained to Sakura and the girls, as they stretched in gym. They nodded, "I think he has a thing for you." Ino said, and Hinata shook her head.
"No he doesn't, we're just friends." The way she dismissed Ino's comment, made her continued to tease her about it.
"Well he doesn't blush when he talks to me or Sakura, but hey maybe you're right."
She said shrugging, while Sakura shook her head laughing a little. "Even if he does, her and Naruto are dating." TenTen said, and Hinata nodded in agreement."He doesn't like me though."
"Mhm. Keep telling yourself that Hina."
Ino said, making Hinata roll her eyes.
"Ladies and Gents, come to the board!"
Their gym teacher yelled, and they all stopped stretching before walking over.
"Today we're gonna be playing soccer."

"You're getting more beautiful everyday, Hinata." Mrs. Karura complimented as Hanabi, Temari, and Hinata helped her with preparing dinner. She smiled, "Thank you, and you're aging gracefully I must say." She laughed a little, "You're such a kind soul. I'm sure all the boys are drooling over you." Hinata laughed a little, "Wish I could say they are."
"You're too modest. Everyone loves her, Mom." Temari said, making all of them laugh a little. "Hinata could you please tell everyone dinner is ready?" She nodded, "No problem." Washing her hands, and drying them, she went into the living room where all the men were.
"Dinners ready." She said softly as their laughter died down. She noticed Gaara and Neji weren't there and asked, "Where's Neji and Gaara?"
Her father answered her, "Neji's taking a call outside, while Gaara's doing the same in his room." She nodded "Thank you sir."Walking up the stairs, she knocked on Gaara's door. "Come in." He said in his gravelly tone.
Opening it, he sat on his bed with his phone in his hand. She smiled slightly and spoke to him in her naturally soft tone, "Dinner is ready."
He nodded standing up and following her down the hallway. "What are we having?"
He asked, "Casserole." He groaned making her giggle. "Your mom's casserole is good."
She said, "Yeah, but it's old when you eat it constantly." He said as they walked down the stairs, "Why don't you learn how to cook then?"
"Oh I've tried, I just suck." She smiled and nudged him playfully, "Maybe I'll have to teach you then." She joked, "Maybe." He said smiling, it always warmed her heart when he smiled.

"You have a date to homecoming yet, Temari?" Hinata asked as Temari as they sat in the living room, while Gaara and Kankuro did the dishes, and their parents were in their home office. "Your friend actually asked me, well kinda?" Temari said with a laugh.
"Who?"
"Choji did, he was so nervous though, I barely understood what he was saying." Hinata laughed a little, "He must like you, he's never nervous."
"Really? He's not really my type." She said shrugging, and Hinata nodded.
"Well I know Shika doesn't have a date yet."
Temari blushed and began to stutter,
"O-oh really? That's cool or whatever."
Hinata smiled knowingly, "He's a cool guy.
I think you two should start talking, you want his number?" She asked, and she blushed even more. "W-well I don't know, do you think he'd mind?""As long as you don't interrupt his one of his nap sessions you'll be fine." She laughed a little too, while copying and saving the number in her phone. "Thanks, Hinata." Hinata smiled a little, "No problem."
"Where's your restroom?" She asked Temari, "Right next to the staircase." S
Once she walked out of the bathroom, she looked down at her phone, texting Naruto, only to bump right into Gaara.
"Oh sorry." She apologized, "It's no problem."
"Finally done with the dishes?" She asked with a smile, he laughed. "Yes finally, Kankuro was zero help."
"Aww poor you." She teased, making him laugh. "I thought I was going to die."
"Only you." She laughed, and shook her head. "So um do you have a date to homecoming?" He asked, and she thought it was an odd question because she assumed that everyone knew about Naruto and her. "Yeah, you?"
She asked, "Well no, maybe I'll just go with Temari and Kankuro. That is if they don't have dates."
