Chapter Seventeen

"My Hime. I can't. You are so beautiful."
Were the words Hinata heard for the third time in that hour, since being at Naruto's home before the dance. Each time she smiled brightly, and as his hands cupped her cheeks, with an even bright smile on his face, she couldn't stop herself from blushing.
"Naruto, stop." She said with a giggle, making him shake his head,  "I can't help it."
He spoke softly, before passionately kissing her matte lipstick stained lips. "Cool it, Naruto,
I want grandkids, but not this soon."
Minato said and Hinata put her hands on Naruto's chest.

"Don't worry, Dad. That's what protection is for, right?" Naruto joked while his father rolled his eyes, and Hinata shook her head,
"Yeah don't worry, Minato, he knows better." Minato laughed while shaking his head, "You'd better keep him in check, Hinata." She smiled,
"Always, Sir." As she said that'd Kushina walked into the living room, with her expensive camera in her hand.

"The camera is finally charged! Now, let's take some pictures." They took a handful of pictures, before Sakura and Sasuke showed up. While Kushina got the door, Minato took more pictures of the smiling couple. "Dad, I'm pretty sure that's enough pictures." Naruto groaned, while Hinata smiled brightly as the flash went off. "It's the last one. Well just one more."
Naruto groaned, and she grabbed his hand as Minato walked in front of them. He looked down at her with a big smile, and she stared in his eyes as they wandered from her lips to her lavender colored eyes.

"You're so gorgeous. I can't believe you're my girlfriend." Though Naruto constantly spoke words of affirmation to her, his words always made her blush, and almost be put under a spell. "Naruto, stop you're making me blush."
She said looking down, to avoid his loving gaze. A soft chuckle left his lips, as his hand cupped her chin, and made her look into his eyes.
"You always blush when I talk to you."
She laughed because she knew he was right, "Shut up."

Kissing her forehead one last time, they both finished walking to the entrance, where they saw Sasuke and Sakura. Hinata smiled as she saw how gorgeous they looked. "Well look at you two." She said, getting their attention. They both looked at her and smiled,
"Hinata, look at you!" Sakura said while giving her friend a hug. "You look so beautiful."
She said, "You too, Sakura. I love your hair."
Their compliments continued, until Kushina interrupted them and said, "Let's get a group picture." The two girls stood in front of their dates, wearing beautiful smiles as the flash went off.

"We were going to wait, but you took forever getting ready." Sakura said to Ino as the teens all greeted each other at the table. She rolled her blue eyes, "Anyway, you all look beautiful." Hinata smiled while saying, "You do too."
"Where's Shika?" Sakura asked, "On the dance floor with Temari. Can you believe it? She got his lazy self to dance." Ino said, and they all laughed while nodding in agreement. "Wow."

They kept talking, until Naruto asked Hinata if she wanted to dance to the slow song that was playing. His arms wrapped her waist, while her's were loosely around his neck.
"You look so handsome, Naruto." She said softly, while one of her hands caressed his cheek. He smiled, "Really? I didn't know how you'd like my hair." When he said that, she got butterflies, almost flattered by the fact that he cared about her opinion on his appearance.

She smiled while speaking to him honestly, "I love it. I think it's impossible for you to not look good in anything or with any hairstyle." He blushed as she lightly moved her thumbs along his neck, because he knew that she could feel his pulse as it began to quicken.
She knew that every time she touched him,
the pace would quicken, and then would steady once they made eye contact with one another.
Only this time, when she looked into his eyes, she smiled as she felt their hearts beat in unison. Standing there with him, made her come to a realization that he had already known for weeks. I am in love with Naruto.
