On the rest of the way home, I couldn't help but think of this man whom was almost similar to me. 'I wonder if anyone knows his secret, like a few know mine?' thinking to myself I didn't even realize that I had already made it home. Looking around I didn't see the Raven nor did I see Silas. 'Did I imagine it all.' I shrug my shoulders and walk in the house. My mom's on the phone so I decide to head to my room first, I open my door and throw my backpack on my bed. "Ow! Watch where you throw that thing!" a voice shouts. "Sorry... wait What!?" I turn around to see a raven perched on my backpack,, ruffling his feathers. "H..how did you get in my room!?" I shout. "Is everything ok up there Emily?" My mom shouts up the stairs. "Yeah! Everything is fine mom." I shout back. I stare at the raven while I walk over and open the window. "Get out! Shoo! Go away!" I say trying to brush him out the window. All of a sudden he transforms, "That's not going to work on me." he says grabbing my hand, I can't help but stare at his long black hair and chiseled jaw bone. He pulls me closer to him "you have probably never tasted the blood of a Tengu before." When he says that my heart starts to pound being so close is making me go insane. "A...a tengu? Is that what you are?" I say quietly trying to hold myself back from doing anything, I look up at him and he smirks. "Are you saying you don't even know your own kind?" My head starts spinning and I almost lose my balance. When I almost fall I don't go far. His warm, strong arms catch me and bring me upright on my own feet. 'My own kind what does he mean?' "I'm a vampire not a tengu." I say staring him in the eyes, he laughs. "What are you talking about you're a half breed, are you telling me your parents never told you this?" his face grew serious. "What good would that letter do if they haven't even given it to you yet!? You were supposed to know by know!" He says getting furious. He storms out of my room and goes downstairs to where my mom is sitting at the kitchen table. "What the heck old lady!? You should have given her the note by now!" he shouts. "What do you think you're doing yelling at my mother like that!?" I yell, shoving him away from her. "Who do you think you are walking in my house like this? Telling me who I am? I don't even know you, are you a freaking stalker or something!?" I scream, while trying to protect my mother. "You think I'm a stalker! God you don't know anything!" He grunts and pushes me out of the way. "Old lady where is the freaking letter! Give it to me know!" his jaw twitches. "Ok, let me find it first." she gets up and walks into her office. 'He was right, how did she give into him like that, just... so easy?' she comes back with an envelop in her hands. 'The letter? What is it? Do I want to know?' He snatches it out of my mother's hands. "Here all you need to know is right here, even though you were supposed to get it when you were 13 and started changing. Lets just say if you had this, then you wouldn't be in the mess you're in now." he holds out the letter in front of me. 'Should I take it?' That was the last thing I can remember before everything went black.
