A Bite

Chapter 10

As soon as school was out at 3:00 I ran out the door and into the parking lot. I started to walk home. I saw Keith's truck burnout beside me and guess who was in the passenger seat, Amber. What does she have against me! I kept walking about five minutes went by and I get this strange feeling, like someone is watching me. I stopped and looked around but there was no one around, anywhere close just some bird in the tree. I kept walking, when I got 20 steps further, that bird swooped over my head to the next tree I stayed at it for sometime. I don't think I have ever seen a raven in the middle of the city. But the strange part was it looked like it was staring back at me "What do you want?" Wow I'm so mad I'm talking to a bird. Then in the blink of an eye it spun around and turned into a boy. He was sitting in the tree dressed in all black and he was the most handsome person I have ever seen even more handsome than Keith. I was frozen in shock, but I screamed he jumped down and covered my mouth! "Shhhhh. You don't want to scare the whole neighborhood." I stared at his beautiful face which was so close to mine. "Who are you? And why are you following me?" I demanded. He replied "My name is Silas, and I wasn't following you I was watching you." I stepped back two feet "that's really creepy. What are you one second you're a bird then the next you're standing in front of me as a human?" He froze then looked around but no one is around "we can't talk here let's go somewhere else more private." For some reason I felt like I could trust him, but I said. "no I can't go with you I have to get home." "Great we'll go to your house!" That was not the reply I was expecting. " no you can't come over I don't even know you!" I took another step away, but he took a step toward me "meet you there." Then he was off he turned into a bird and flew towards my house. I stood there on the sidewalk so confused. What just happened I thought.
