The next morning when I woke up I was still in the tree house laying with my head on Silas's chest. All the candles were out and it still smells like roses. Some light was coming in through small holes that were in the treehouse, from weathering and age. Silas started to move I could tell he's walking up. “Good morning beautiful.” He says to me.”Morning handsome!” I say smiling up at him. “Crap, i totally forgot about school!” I say fumbling to get up. “No, why don’t you skip or something.” Silas says grabbing my arm pulling me back. “Well i guess i can since you asked.” I giggled snuggling back up to him. “So what do you want to do today?” he says running his fingers through my hair. “Spend it with you of course!” I say looking up at him smiling, he bends down and kisses me. “Well duh, but seriously what do you wanna do?” He says playing with my hair. “Well first i wanna eat breakfast!” I say getting up. “Do you want to try hunting? I can show you how to erase the memory.” I smile “I can do that?!” I ask “Of course, you are a vampire.” He says calmly. We walk back to my house when we entered my mom was in the kitchen, so Silas and I crept up the stairs and into my room. When the my door was shut I let out a sigh “that was close. Let me change clothes first then we can go hunt.” He smiles “take your time we have all day.” I grab a dress that comes 4 inches above my knees and black knee high boots. When I jump in the shower it feels so good the water on my skin. As I'm washing my hair I have this memory of Keith and I when he took me to the party on his bike. Another memory came when he kissed me and my mom came in. I also remember how warm his hands always are. Then I thought of Silas he is my protector and he has been forever, he has shown me so many new thing and how to actually live. Knock knock knock “Hey Emily I don't mean to disturb you but you have been in there for a while are you okay?” Silas calls out, I look around for a second and realize I'm in the shower and the water is cold. “Yea, I'm okay.” I get out and start drying off I can here Silas right outside the door. When I come out he is sitting on my bed waiting patiently.
“Ready to go?” I ask he looks me up and down says that is a perfect hunting outfit.” He smiles then stands, walks out of my room. After we're outside, I go and grab my bike. “How are u going to ride that in a dress?” Silas asks, walking closer to me. I pull my dress up a little revealing shorts. “What girl doesn't come prepared!” I laugh handing him the bike. “Well if u do that again in public, I might just have to take a bite!” He smirks, I let my dress down quickly. “Yeah like u can bite this!” I laugh motioning my hands in a circle around me, he pulls me closer and kisses me. “Just get on, dork!” He laughs and then we're off. Letting the wind blow through my hair feels so, relaxing. We head to a more deserted part of town were less people are around during the day. “Ok so I'm going to explain to you how you erase people's minds.” Silas says stopping the bike and parking it. “You stare right into their eyes” Silas says turning around and staring into my eyes. “Then tell them to forget everything that just happened, and you tell them a different story sending them on their way.” Silas looks at me serious. “Ok i got it!” I smile putting my thumbs up. “Good, you know how to attract your prey right?” Silas asks. “Umm.. I thought you just attached them?” I say rubbing my arm. Silas smacks himself in the forehead. “Have you ever been hunting?” He sighs, then laughs it off. “No, Emi you have to act all cute and innocent then once you got them where you want them, you attack!” He says attacking my neck with a kiss. He leans up and looks me in the eyes “But if anyone, and I mean anyone tries touching you, I'm going to kill them!” He says grabbing the side of my face and stares at me with a serious expression. I laugh, “I seriously doubt that happening!” “ No I'm being serious!” He says pulling me into a passionate kiss. I push him away a little so I can breathe “Don't let anyone touch you like this!” He says pulling me into a hug. “Welp time for you to take action!” he says giving me a push on the back. “I'll be right here if you need me!” He says. I start walking then turn back around to Silas who is gone. “Wha-” before I could finish a raven flies around me, then I watch as Silas flies over to an older man across the street. He lands on the ground close to the man sitting on the bench and stares at me. I realize he wants me to take this man as my prey. 'act innocent’ I think to myself 'how do i- got it!’ i run over to the crosswalk and about to cross when I 'trip’ “ow!” I scream. The older man notices me and rushes over. “Are you alright ma'am!?” The man says bending down the help me up. I look around to find that no one is in sight, when the man gets close enough I take advantage “sorry” I whisper before I sink my fangs into his neck, slowly drinking his blood. It wasn't the best taste in the world but it subsided my hunger. When I was finished, I looked the man in the eyes “forget everything that just happened, you merely came over here to help me up after I had fallen.” I say letting go
