A Bite

Chapter 20

The last bell rang at 3:00 we have spring break this week. It has been two weeks since silas left I still miss him. Amber has a really cute boy that she has been talking to for a while. "Want to go hunting?" Amber asked me. We have been going at lunch almost everyday but today we skipped so she could talk to Davis. "No not today I'm not that hungry right now." she stops walking and turns to me. "Oh come on Em, vampires are always hungry." I sigh then say "Not today Amber maybe tomorrow." I turned into a raven then left. I was flying around town for a while when I realized I skipped lunch I am hungry. I went to the part of town that is gated community nice, and has a fountain as soon as you enter. I flew over the fence and turned into a human. I started walking around when I saw a boy that looked a little bit older than me walking around he had brown hair his eyes were blue not as blue as keith's but still blue. I sat on one of the many benches in the community to look totally normal. When he started to come closer I thought he was just going to walk by but he sat on the bench beside me. "Hello," he said "are you new in the neighborhood I haven't seen you here before."
"No, just visiting my grandparents they live up the street a little ways." I point up the street. He looks to where I'm pointing and is satisfied. "What's your name?" he asked "emily, and what is your name?" I smiled he's hooked I almost feel bad for what I'm about to do. Before he could speak i leaned over and pulled his head towards my mouth. But he pushed me off. I must be losing my edge 'how did he do that' I thought to myself. He didn't run he actually helped me up. "Wow you were close. You have to be faster next time." he said. I'm so confused how did he know I was going to bite him. "Umm... I was just-" he cut me off "No need to explain I know exactly what you are. Vampier." I looked at him dumbfounded he just smiled his teeth were k-9s. "Your a vampire too?" I asked even though I knew the answer. "My name is Adam Moore, as soon as I saw you I knew you were my kind." I looked down "Sorry I tried to bite you." "No no, don't be sorry, I haven't seen many others here before." he said. I wanted to stay and talk but just had to eat something. "Adam, I'm sorry I have to go i'm really hungry." I was about to fly off when he said "Wait i know a great place to hunt. Please stay." I really did want to stay, but some reason something said to leave now. "Bye adam." I was off.
