Chapter 15

The next day I had to go to school, which really sucks. I wish I could be sick forever, Staying home with Silas was probably the highlight of my week. After I got ready for school, I to ran out the door, when I made it outside to my surprise Silas was standing there with my bike. "Hey I'll take you to school if you don't mind." he smiles handing me the bike. "Thanks!" I smile taking the bike. He walks beside me and I ride on my bike slowly that way he can keep up with me. We make it to school parking lot and I put my bike in the bike rack. "Thanks for coming with me it's always fun to have company!" I smile bending down to lock my bike up. "Your welcome. I love having moments with you like this so I'll do anything to have them!" he smiles down at me. In the background I hear Keith's truck pulling up behind me, when I turn around I notice Amber in the passenger seat. I roll my eyes and turn back around. "Man I don't want to deal with this today!" I started a rubbing my forehead annoyed. "It's ok I'll stay if you want." Silas says putting his hand on my cheek. I smile back at him and put my hand over his, holding it. "No it's fine but you can pick me up at 3!" I say laughing, Silas kisses me. "I'll be there!" He smiles walking off.

I walk into to school over to my locker. Slam, "I see you already moved on!" Amber says slamming my locker, smirking at me. "What are you talking about?" I say staring at her crossing my arms. "I thought you had this thing for Keith?" Amber questions. "I know he came over to your house yesterday" she interrogates. "Yeah and what of it, I'm sorry Keith prefers something real!" I smirk. "Yeah and what is so real about you?" Amber says getting all in my face. "I don't have time for this" I say turning around walking towards my class. "No I want to talk about this now!" Amber yells grabbing my arm and yanking me back, everyone in the hall goes dead silent and stares at us. "Let go of me!" I say yanking my arm back. " there's nothing to talk about, quit causing a scene!" I whispered to her "I have to talk to you!" She exclaimed "what do you want to talk about!? There is nothing to say Keith cheated on me with you and you let him!" I said and turned back around to walk to my class. "Wait please, okay I know it looks bad but I didn't know you guys were officially a thing..." amber grabbed my arm and pulled me into the restroom "who is that other guy you were hanging out with? He definitely looks like he's more than a friend!" I took a deep breath and explained "He knows about me being a vampire and he definitely knows more about me then I know about myself. I know it sounds crazy but I'm not all vampire." Amber looks at me for a second then looks at her phone "we are five minutes late to class." She turns around and walked out. I think that's kinda weird because she wanted me to tell her but she didn't like the answers even though it's true.

At the end of the day when I was walking out the front doors of the school I saw Amber talking to Keith she almost looked like she was explaining everything I told her. He glanced up at me then looked back at her quickly. When I saw Silas standing by my bike I walked faster all I want is to go home and be with him. I used to think that way about Keith but he moved on I guess. When I threw a look over my shoulder I saw Keith walking towards me. I unlocked my bike and Silas gave me a warm hug and and kissed me on the forehead. Keith came up to us "Em I heard what's going on, Amber told me what you told her. I'm sorry I-" "let me stop you right there." I said "I understand you and Amber can go out I moved on." Keith had a grim expression on his face "no that's not what I was going to say." He hesitated "I still like you." I felt Silas's arms wrap around me and pull me close to him. 'What do I do now' "Please Emily, I want things to go back to when we were together and I still like you." I stepped out of Silas's arms. "Keith , why were you kissing her? Every time I walk away for one minute you go to her." he looks down "i'm sorry she reminds me so much of you and now you guys are the same kind... I don't know."  "Of course he doesn't know. Why would anyone ever cheat on someones that is literally out of this world." Silas spoke up "You hurt her. You don't deserve her affection." Keith replied "I know but please Emily-" "Keith just stop please. I can't have this right now. I'm sorry Keith. I need to figure out who I am and he," I pointed to Silas "is the only one that can help me with that." I said Keith glared at Silas "What do you know that i don't?! " Silas grinned "I know a lot more than you. I know what she really is. I also know that she has to get home so we can talk." the way he said that enraged Keith. "She's a vampire, I already know that! And what do you mean talk," he turned to me "i don't think you should hang with him anymore." "Please stop both of you and I'm more than a vampire! Let's go home!" I grabbed Silas's hand and he got on my bike I stood on the pegs and held him. "I'm sorry Keith." We road on.

When we got home I ran to my room and flopped on my bed face down, tears flowing down my face. Silas right behind me he sat on the bed and said "I think it's time for you to find out about what and who you really are."
