Shawn and I had been dating for six months after meeting at a John Mayer's concert, which was one of the most fun nights I've ever had. Since then, we've been inseparable, and happier than ever. His family was amazing, and so were his group of friends. I was very lucky to have him.

That afternoon, we were walking around the streets, just by the time the sun was coming down. It was kind of our thing to go on walks together and talk about life; we would spend hours and hours rambling around the streets without it getting the least bit boring.

We had been walking for a long time, but I didn't seem to get used to my surroundings. It was fall by then, Shawn's favourite season, and there were leaves of all colors spread all around the park and the streets, which only made them look even more beautiful and alive. The sky was a greyish blue, but it turned bright red and orange when it reached the skyline by the river. Tinted clouds decorated it, changing tones and positions as each second passed, making me gasp in amaze as I took it all in.

I was also well aware of the fact that our hands were intertwined with each other, molded as if they were meant to always stick together, no matter what. His thumb traced circles around my skin, sending tingling rushes of electricity through every particle of my whole body. I'd never get used to that feeling. He turned his head to me and glared a dazzling smile, his white, perfect set of teeth shining as bright as the sun itself, and I realized I'd been staring at him for quite some time. I blushed and looked away, avoiding his eyes. How did he manage to make me this nervous, as he did when we first met?

"What are you thinking?", he asked, and I could practically hear him grinning.

"I'm just so happy I met you", I replied after a few moments with slight embarrassment.

I looked up to find him staring at me intently, his smile even wider than before. This time, I couldn't help but return it, getting lost inside his beautiful eyes.

"I'm happy too", he replied between smiles, and pulled me closer to him as we walked past a bunch of kids who were playing and running around, their chuckles mixing together, creating a harmonious melody which fitted perfectly with the scenery.

We watched them chase one another, and finally run to their parents, taking them by surprise by pulling them into a tight, sudden hug. They all started laughing together, creating a magical moment between them. I knew exactly what Shawn was thinking. To be honest, I was even considering it myself.

"That's gonna be us one day, right?", he asked me inside his own reverie, his eyes still focused on the giggling family.

His question froze me on the spot. I'd never really got along well with children; I usually ended up scaring them away or worse. But right then, the thought of a family together sent a thrill of bliss all through me.

I responded quite instantly, the words slipping out of my mouth without any permission: "I'd love to."

He turned back to me and met my gaze. We smiled at each other once more, squeezing our hands tighter, and kept moving forward.

Minutes later, a bunch of girls approached us out of nowhere. One of them tapped Shawn in the shoulder, causing him to come to a stop and direct himself to her.

"Hi Shawn!", she greeted him. "Would you mind talking a picture with me?

"No, of course not, hun", he replied, as politely as usual.
