Lauryn P.O.V.
I had spent 3 days at the hospital before I was finally released. Although Chris didn't want to leave my side, he had to go and get double of everything and make sure it was set up correctly.
The twins were released immediately after me and Melody was set to be released in 4 more days with an amazing improvement which was a blessing in itself.
Chris was laying beside me in the bed, massaging my back and shoulders while the twins slept. "Can you believe it? Three babies all under one roof," I said to him.
He chuckled. "I know baby. This is gonna be fun," he replied.
I smiled and rolled over to look him in the eyes. "I love you Chris," I declared and kissed him. He returned the kiss back passionately and began kissing on my neck.
"Woah, woah, wish," I stopped, playfully pushing him back. "You don't want another baby yet, do you?" I giggled.
"Shitttt. I don't care. As long as they're coming from you." My face instantly began to blush.
He kissed my cheek and sighed. "Look, I wanted to wait to ask you this when we were somewhere nice, but I just can't. I can't contain my love for you anymore." I smiled at him widely.
He reached over to his bedside table and pulled a black box out the drawer. "Lauryn Nicolette Rodriguez. Would you do me the honor of being my husband?" he asked, causing me to burst out with laughter.
"No silly. I can absolutely be your wife though." He smirked before pouncing on top of me and showering me with kisses.
We were remaining abstinent until I at least didn't have to wear a huge diaper to collect all the blood I was leaking for the four weeks.
Our mini make out session was broken apart by one of the twins crying and Chris went to retrieve whoever it was.
"Aww, look at mommy's baby," I cooed as he carried in a swaddled Evana. We called her 'mommy's baby' because she only would calm down for me. He placed her in my arms and I soothed her until she closed her eyes again.
Chris came and cuddled up next to us. "She's really beautiful Chris," I announced. "I'm gonna make sure she has everything a princess needs."
"And that's something I wanted to talk to you about Laur," Chris began. I raised my eyebrow at him but couldn't keep my eyes off my precious baby.
"Yes, what is it?" I asked.
"I talked to my father." That caught my attention. I looked Chris dead in the eye.
"You did? And what happened?" I questioned, concerned.
"Well, let's just say, it didn't go so well." I looked at the scratch above his eye and nodded my head. "Anyway, that's not the point. I know this is a lot to ask of you, and you've done so much for me lately. I just..." His voice broke off.
"What? What is it, Chris? I'm sure whatever it is, we can deal with it. Right?" I asked, climbing onto to straddle him.
"I know you love this house but I... I just think it'd be better if we moved out. Somewhere away from here. I want the girls to have a safe place to live with a proper education. And I talked to my Tío about brining Samalia too and I just... I have a plan. And it will work. Just think about it. Just give it some time. And I promise-"
"Wait. Just stop right there," I interrupted. "Before you go making all these promises, you need to slow down."
I took a deep breath and lay on his chest. I listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat and closed my eyes.
He was insane. He was literally out of his mind.
"I just don't know where all of this is coming from. We just, and I mean just, moved here Chris! I mean, we have all the baby stuff set up, and I was going to start painting the dining room, and I had all these ideas and plans! And I'm close to my mom and my sister. This is my family we're talking about Chris."
"I know baby, I know," he soothed. He grabbed my hands and wrapped them with both of his. "Let's just breathe, and let's just think about it. We can talk about this later." He played with my hair and I could feel my eyelids getting heavy. He knew how to shut me up.
"I love you," he said, kissing my cheek. "We'll find a way."
