After few minutes, Rebekah was barely conscious even with every strong lash she got by the witches. Her cries of pain were now replaced by weak whimpers, her consciousness numb, and her tired body shutting itself down.

But her subconscious part was still active. It was aware of everything happening around Rebekah’s limp figure and so it did the only thing to save her.

It awakes the foetus inside her.

It awaked HIM.

Chapter 8

He was awake now. He started moving vigorously inside Rebekah’s stomach. His violent movement inside Rebekah didn’t go unnoticed by anyone. The eight witches had already stopped thrashing Rebekah.

“It’s time”, Queen Witch Lyra’s melodic voice echoed through the halls of the prison. But it didn’t do anything to calm the feisty foetus. Instead it only increased his little yet strong fist colliding with the inner walls of Rebekah’s womb.

Lyra extended her hands towards the sky, closing her eyes and chanting some mantras in ancient language.

The other eight witches surrounding Rebekah’s immobile figure in circle now started moving towards the Queen of their kind and stands after her, acquiring their positions in the shape of triangle.

The angry and hateful thrashing of the foetus inside Rebekah was increasing with every move. This unbearable pain was enough to wake her from her deep slumber. She stirred and moaned in pain.

‘If this pain could further increase’, she thought sarcastically, resting her head on the pillar holding her. In her position she could do nothing to stop the torment her body was going through but just go with it.

After a few minutes, Lyra opened her eyes, retracting one of her hand back and moving the still extended hand in a circle. It caused the blood oozing out from Rebekah’s wounds to make contact with the sweat dripping from skin of her stomach. As soon as the two of them made contact, her stomach illuminated with white light. Witches were known to be one of the most cunning and hideous creature of the supernatural world but this time some of them couldn’t help but gasp at the sight. The light was white but held darkness with it. Lyra’s face was morphed into a frown. The white light is unexpected since this symbolises of good.

With each passing second the light was intensifying. It was blinding the witches. Except their Queen, all the eight witches have face-palmed themselves to protect their eyes from the brightest glow they have ever encountered. Lyra is determined to find out the answer of every question related with the Successor of Evil. The foetus inside Rebekah has always been a mystery to her. It had managed to always surprise her with its new outcomes and failing her conclusions about HIM.

Her eyes were burning with the heat emanating out of Rebekah’s womb but being stubborn determined witch she is, she didn’t even blinked her teary eyes. But it seemed like the foetus was testing Lyra’s capabilities. The glow was further increasing even Rebekah was now squirming due to the intense heat inside her. By this time Rebekah was crying out in pain and her each cry was catalysing the white illumination.

Here Lyra felt like her eyes will burn with the intense glow. It felts like her eyes were suffering the flames of Hell itself and then, she felt it. She felt HIS presence.

And His presence was enough to intimidate every creature, whether good or evil to back down.

So, the most powerful witch of earth, Lyra bowed her head in submission and covered her eyes in her hand.

Her eyes still burning but now not because of seeing the intense glow but because of the consequences of daring to see the intense white light.

She is blind now.

Queen witch Lyra is blind now.
