Previously in BOND BETWEEN THE SPLITS:-
“Rebekah…” he tasted her silk-like name on his lips.
Closing his eyes, he leaned over her supporting his weight on his hands over the table. Before the second stage shall initiate, he wants to stay like this and may be if he could, then stop the time here forever. He thought about the beautiful time when he first met her, their first kiss, the way his heart beat sped-up when they hug, their first mating, he thought about everything they shared. And he also remembered the last promise he made to her.
He must have to stay strong. This is what she wanted he determined with a sigh. He focused on breathing. Before, this natural reflex had been painfully unknown to do.
“I’m doing this for you” He said to Rebekah kissing her forehead.

CHAPTER 11
All the while Lyra maintained her distance to give the couple some privacy. She wanted to leave the room at first but decided against it thinking the King might need her presence.
After her sight was lost, she casted a new spell to visualise the world around in her mind. Through this spell, she could easily see the grief stricken face of the King in her mind. Her heart clenched seeing him like this. He has been tough throughout his whole life then why grieving over an ordinary woman now!
If Rebekah didn’t have come in between them, she and Caladrius would still be together. Lyra thought bitterly. She wasn’t one of those people who let things slip from their fingers but when it comes to the love of her life, she is behaving like an emotionally messed teenager.
‘Rebekah is nothing compared to me. But she has what I crave the most… Caladrius’ slowly tears started filling her eyes.
‘If only I could be his Soul-mate instead of her!’ she exclaimed sourly breathing in the cold air of the palace.
She witnessed how the love that once shone in his eyes for her, is now directed towards Rebekah. The truth always made her heart clench. No matter how many times she scolds herself for being so stupid to fall hopelessly in love yet she misses him.
“You’ll stay for me!” Caladrius said more to himself.
Rebekah mumbled incoherently to this. Caladrius pursing his lips into thin line checked her temperature.
“Lyra…” Caladrius yelled.
“My king” Lyra said, standing behind him within fractions of second.
“She’s burning. Create a spell to drop and maintain her temperature to normal and cover her appropriately. I don’t want others to see her in this state.”
