She’s exhausted both mentally and physically. Staring at the sky with a hard gaze frowning upon whoever is up there watching her, she mentally asked for questions. But there were dark clouds as a barrier between her and the one who’ve answers to all her questions.

Sighing she kept gazing at the dark sky at outside and thinking about the darkness crawling at her from inside. A drop of water hit her nose, splashing many other tiny droplets from within her near her nose. She closed her eyes briefly but when she opened it, she saw him again.

Startled she tried to get but her legs betrayed her. She end up crawling up by her hands, trying to move as far as possible from the humongous large black creature in from of him, who angry at her behaviour only narrowed his eyes.

His black round orbs returning back to the slitting oval ones that he’d earlier, showing the fury emanating out of them. He opened his mouth wide, a ball of blue fire ignited inside it.

With this Pari knew what the beast is actually.

He’s a… Dragon.

Chapter 24 – Visit

Before Paridhi could even let a gasp of horror, the raging dragon threw the blue ball of fire towards her. Shielding herself with her hands although she knew it will be useless, she waited for the impact of the fire ball hitting her, burning her skin and damaging the delicate layer of epidermis below it. But it never came… none of it.

Paridhi heard someone hiss behind her in pure agony and turned her body towards the source, gasping in fear. Rubbing his muzzle in mud stood another dragon, few black hues of colour standing against his brick red rough skin. Small drops of water falling from sky stroke against the burned area causing thin smoke to erupt from it.

He opened his eyes, moving his gigantic head upwards, slitted ruby of his eyes glistening with the reflection of an electric blue – the first black dragon creating another fire ball inside his mouth – making Paridhi crawl away from him in fear. Her legs still wobbly and weak, but that didn’t deter her from creating distance between her and the red eyed dragon with a thorn above his nose. He roared, enraged by her movements or by the other black dragon challenging her, she couldn’t tell. The black dragon – now behind her – roared back.
