Previously in BOND BETWEEN THE SPLITS:-

“Dakota take her to the room where Rebekah is.” Dakota also nodded in agreement.

“You two are dismissed” Caladrius ordered.

Both Amelia and Dakota stood up and bowed bending on their knees.

“Dark will exist till the end of Universe!” both swore in unison.

A loud thud echoed through the library signalled the entry of an intriguer.

“Caladrius….” An angry male voice boomed through the library.

Chapter 12

There stood Marcus at the doorway. His eyes are blazing with undeniable anger which is no doubt directed at Caladrius.

Eyes are way to one’s soul.

Right now the saying is true for Marcus. His eyes showed nothing but the blood thirsty animal hidden inside him. The continuous extracting and retracting of his fangs and the swirling black in his eyes showed his struggle. He is struggling to keep the animal inside him at bay. Putting more pressure on his clenched fist he takes long strides towards Caladrius.

“You-”

Before he can utter a second word, Caladrius held his palm ahead to stop him and this made Marcus took an abrupt stop in his track. The hatred pulsing through his veins in the form of adrenaline couldn’t take down the power rolling off the king in waves.

With his still extended hand, Caladrius gestured both Amelia and Dakota to leave, not at once tearing his eyes from the vampire in front of him. His penetrating gaze is enough to let anyone know that Marcus is in deep shit now.

Unable to bear the rising amount of testosterone in the air, Amelia scurried away from them outside the library with his mentor.

‘Who was he?’ the question kept repeating itself in her head. She wanted to ask her Master but kept her mouth shut seeing him all tensed up after the awkward encounter back there. Thinking about the encounter leads her mind back to the vampire.

They would have hardly taken twenty steps in the hall when the ice wall of the library beside them breaks and a flying off Marcus come through it. Lying on the broken ice pieces, he groaned and clutched his bleeding nose.

Slowly the king appeared out of that broken wall. Amelia looked horrifying at the scene in front of her while a worried looking Dakota tugged her hand to scoot her far away from the two. With Dakota literally pulling her towards the opposite side of the passage, she kept glancing backwards, curiosity getting the best of her. Rounding the corner she heard the king yell, “You’re lucky you’re related to her!” With this said the king advanced him and seconds later a blood gurgling scream of Marcus echoed through the narrow hall.
