Nothing Happens By Chance (Dancetale!Sans x Dancer!Sassy!Reader)

Again, this is a weird one to write since I know nothing about this AU, I really need to catch up on the AUs for Undertale!

Anyways, this oneshot is for VickiWYD!

Sorry for anything I put in this oneshot that doesn't correspond to this AU, I don't know anything about it.

"SANS HURRY UP! WE'LL BE LATE FOR THE COMPETITION!" I screamed from downstairs.

Around 7pm, I was impatiently waiting at the bottom of the stairs, with my dance outfit on and boom box in hand. I had the same outfit Sans did, just to show we're together in the competition.

We were always fashionably late, due to Sans. He's an amazing dancer, don't get me wrong, but he can sometimes be a couch potato at the worst time.

All the monsters were now free from the underground, thanks to Frisk and I, and now there was an annual dance competition since all the monsters were professionals at dancing. It was just to see who could dance better than the other.

This year, they made it into a group thing, everyone entering had to be in groups or pairs. So Sans and I paired up and Papyrus paired up with Frisk.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" He shouted back, suddenly teleporting from his room to me.

"Okay, now that you're here, we can go!"

Sans lazily nodded and put his hand on my shoulder, finding ourselves backstage a split second later.

A lady in her late twenties walked over towards us with a fake, bright smile on her face, her brown hair gently bouncing while she swiftly walked in her massive high heels, "Hello, (Y/N), Sans, how nice to see you hear again! Are you two dancing together?" She asked in a sickly sweet tone, she was familiar to me, but I never remembered her name.

"Yeah, we are." Sans replied causally.

"So it seems! What's your group name?" Her violet eyes burned into my soul.

I hated that woman, I swear she secretly hated me. But the feeling was mutual, so I didn't care.

"Do we need one?" I asked, hoping she'd say no since we didn't have one.

"Yes, dear, you do." Her voice was stone ice when she spoke to me.

"Dancetale, how about that?" Sans matched her tone.

She shot a glare before jotting down a few things, "That'll do, you two are last." She spat before walking off.

"Is it bad that I wanna punch her in the face?" I looked over to Sans, who simply chuckled.

"No, but just for sake of not getting disqualified, yes." He grinned and shrugged before looking over to the other dancers.

Toriel was there with Asriel, those two were amazing at waltz, which is probably what they're dancing; Papyrus and Frisk were experts in their own kind of dancing, Frisk with ballet, and Papyrus with Latin dancing, but I guess that won't stop them; Undyne was there, she liked Capoeira; Mettaton was a jazz dancer, but the absolute best jazz dancer there was; Alphys was more into hip hop dance, which looked awesome when she danced; Napstablook really liked to dance Swing style, so maybe he'd use his own music for that.
