You and Asriel, your best friend, were starting high school today.

And you were never happier in your life. That's saying something!

"Hey Asriel!" You said.

"Hmm?"

"We're finally in high school!!!! What do you think about it?" You asked.

"Well, nervous to be honest. Just think about the kids that attend! What if they don't like us?" Asriel answered.

"I'm sure they'll find you awesome Asriel! I do, anyways."

Asriel blushed.

"Th-Thanks." Asriel rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Ok! The bus is here! C'mon!" You shouted as you grabbed Asriel's wrist and ran.

~2 months later~

You and Asriel were sat on a table by yourselves, just chillin and eatin your lunch. But someone approached you two.

"U-Uh, hi...I'm new here and I-I'm lonely. Can I-I hang out w-with y-you?" The boy asked nervously.

The person was a monster, you heard that Dogamy and Dogaressa had a kid. Most likely that this was their kid, because it was a dog your size.

"Sure! What's your name?" You asked.

"My name's Jamie. If it's not obvious, I'm a dog." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

"My name is Asriel and this is (Y/N), my best friend." Asriel said. You gave a tiny wave.

"Nice to meet you!" Jamie exclaimed.

Asriel saw the way Jamie looked at you, the way he talked to you.

He felt anger come up. But he didn't know why, so Asriel didn't let his anger out. He kept his mouth shut.

~Time Skip~

You and Jamie were hanging out a lot. He would ask you to go to his house to study, he would follow you around. You were happy to have him as a friend, but you were worried about Asriel. Asriel hasn't gotten close to you lately and when you wanted to talk to him, he would just turn around and walk away.

"Jamie, just go home. I need to do something." You said.

"Ok. See you tomorrow!" Jamie shouted before running home.

You saw Asriel walking back to his house, so you caught up to him.

"ASRIEL DREEMUR!! GET BACK HERE!!" You shouted as Asriel ran.

You finally caught him in the park.

"Asriel. You've been avoiding me ever since Jamie showed up. What's wrong?" You asked softly.

Asriel looked away from you. He stayed silent.

"Asriel, you're my best friend. Please, tell me when something is bothering you." You inched a little closer to him.

He began to tear up a bit.

"Well, you were hanging out a lot more with Jamie than me. So I thought that you left me for him." Asriel looked down.

"You'll always be my best friend. No one can replace you." You said.

"Really?" Asriel asked.

"Yeah!" You reassured.

"Then, can I tell you something?" Asriel asked hesitantly.

"Yeah! Go ahead." You said.

"I really like you." Asriel rubbed the back of his neck.

You blushed more than necessary.

"I like you too Fluffybuns." You said as you kissed his muzzle and ran.

"(Y/N)!!!! I'LL GET YOU BACK!!!" Asriel yelled as he ran after you.
