Is It That Obvious? (Ember x Sans)

-Ember's POV-

I walked out of the Ruins, rubbing my arms. It was cold in the mysterious forest, a bit too cold for my liking.

I started walking until I reached a gate, then I heard footsteps coming from behind me.

"Hey, pal. What are you doing out here?" A deep voice resonated in the silence of the forest.

"Sans? I know that's you." I said.

I knew Sans well, I usually came in and out of the Ruins for fun and explore. But I spent most of my time in the Ruins though. But while I wasn't in the Ruins, I spoke to Sans. I have to admit, I kinda developed a little crush on him. Too nervous to tell him though.

"Hey Ember. Back here again. 'Water' you up to now?" He chuckled.

I laughed way too hard.

"Just to walk around, you know how much I hate being trapped in one place." I replied, trying to calm down.

"Right. Do you wanna go to Grillby's?" Sans asked with a tint of blue on his cheekbones.

"Sure!" I replied.

"Alright then. Hold my hand, I know a shortcut." Sans said while looking away and holding out his bony hand.

I gladly took it. Then, in a flash we were in front of Grillby's.

That was quick.

He didn't let go of my hand when we walked through to get to the bar.

"Whaddya want Ember?" Sans asked.

"Maybe some fries?" I asked.

He nodded. "Hey Grillby! Can I have an order of 2 fries please?" Sans said and Grillby nodded and left.

The fries came in by Grillby. I thanked him and started to munch on the fries. Sans just drank ketchup.

"So Ember. How's Tori?" He asked.

I nearly choked on my food and I felt a bit of anger come up. But I kept smiling regardless of the strong feeling.

"Oh! Um..She's fine." I quickly said. I wanted to change the subject real quick.

"Hey, you ok? You seem a bit jumpy today." He said looking straight at me.

"Y-Yeah! I'm f-fine." I replied looking away.

He sighed and stood up.

"Come with me." He said and started walking out.

I was confused, but followed him anyways.

We went out of Grillby's and he held out his bony hand. I took it and I immediately felt a bit nauseas, but I didn't throw up.

"My head." I said rubbing my head, then I realised that we were in an unknown room to me. I didn't explore this much of the underground.

I was looking around in awe. The shining stones gleamed in the ceiling, the gorgeous blue echoflowers were just amazing.

"Sans, why did you bring me here?" I finally asked.

His face was bright blue.

"Well, uh, well. I wanted to tell you something." He looked down.

"Yeah, what is it?" I asked, worried.

"I really, uh, I-I really l-love y-y-you." He wouldn't look at me.

I was very shocked. I mean, wouldn't be a complete shock that your crush said they loves you? Yeah.

"I love you too Sans!" I ylled hugging him.

"When you didn't answer right away, it really rattled my bones." He said and winked.

I laughed and kissed the short skeleton.

"You're such a numbskull!" I giggled.

We both laughed and ended hanging out in the waterfalls, all day.
