Strange Emotion (Gaster x Reader)

Heeeyooo! Sup bruhs? This is an awkward one to write 'cause I don't know much about Gaster. But I will still write it! Anyways this request was for someone, but I can't seem to find them on Wattpad I deeply apologise for that (Well, at least you know who you are!) Hope ya'll enjoy! By the way, I had an important message at the end! So please take the time to read it! Thank you!

"Gaster, what are you doing in there?"

"Why does it matter?"

"I just wanna know."

"Then why are you so curious?"

At the moment, Gaster was confined in his invention room - where he'd come up with new ideas for inventions, invent them and test them out.

But lately, he's been locked up in there and he hasn't shown any sign of coming out yet.

I was sure Gaster was working on something for quite a while now, but he always avoided talking about it and I don't know why. He would never really keep a secret from me because I'm his best friend.

His only friend to be precise.

"Gaster, you haven't been talking to me lately and I just want to know why, you've trapped yourself in that room of yours where you work on gadgets and stuff. Why is it so bad for me to know what's going on?"

"It's too personal."

"But you know you can trust me! It's not like I can go anywhere to tell anyone anyways!"

The other side of the room fell silent, as if he was contemplating what I had just said.

To be honest, it was true, I couldn't actually go anywhere out of this daunting lab he calls home - a place where no one can enter except for Gaster and I, it was completely invisible to the real world. But due to some reasons, I couldn't leave the facility.

"You wouldn't understand.." His distorted voice was scarcely above a whisper.

"What do you mean by that? The thing I don't understand here is why you've suddenly become so distant! All I want to know is what you're doing in there, but I guess you just don't trust me enough!!" I huffed and stomped away to my room.

Flopping onto the bed, I just lied there, absolutely angered and saddened at what had happened.

I also had to just take this hard because of the massive crush I have on him. He saved me, there's no way I could repay something as big as that!

The reason why I couldn't leave, was because I'm one of his experiments - one that was successful. The experiment was if he could revive a dead human that had fallen into the Underground, he found my body near the castle where the king resided in and my soul was wandering aimlessly around the unknown parts of the Underground - he took my body and soul back to his lab and tried to place my soul back into my body.

Thankfully and surprisingly, it worked.

Ever since, I've been living here so he wouldn't be so lonely.

We were so close, we were the best of friends. I thought we had no secrets between each other.

But I guess I was wrong.

I sighed, allowing a single tear to stain my face and flow down to the blanket below me.

Just like that, the trust and bond between us is broken. There was no point in loving him anymore.

With that thought in my dreadful mind, I went to a silent sleep.

Gaster furiously shook his head, he couldn't believe he had just allowed you to leave in such a distraught manner.

If he was to ever admit why he was locked up in his room, he thought she would hate him for sure.

He just had a huge crush on her, but he just couldn't bring himself to tell her.

He had been cooped up in his room to try and regain his composure.

Why?

Simple, because every time he would see you he would suddenly feel timid and self-conscious, every time you smiled or laughed his non-existent heart would race to extreme speeds, every time you cried his heart would shatter into a million pieces.

However, he knew he had to tell her now that he loved her, or there would be a chance she would try and leave.

Opening the door, he crept up to your room, his mind racing with negative thoughts, but heart was set to make things right.

His hands shook as he timidly knocked on the door - one part of him hoped that you would open the door, the other thought otherwise.

The minutes seemed to drag as he waited for a while, but before he could knock again you opened the door.

"Gaster? Are you okay? You're red." Your voice was so angelic to him.

He hastily looked down, twiddling with his bony fingers, embarrassed that you had noticed his shyness.

"(Y/N), I-I....uh....I-I..." He couldn't say the three little words that were on the edge of his tongue.

"'I' what?" You asked your with eyes full of concern.

Gaster took a deep breath, to steady his mind and feelings, and looked up at you now filled with determination.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry I have been avoiding you lately, I didn't want it to seem like I didn't want to see you. But ever since you came into my life, well this weird and strong emotion just came unexpectedly and at first I didn't know why. Until I realised that I was in love with you - and I can see why; your beauty captivated my heart the instant I met you; you're intelligence left me absolutely astonished; your optimism always found a way to rub off on me; your determination made me find mine. There are so many things that are yet to be listed, but if I were to mention them, we'd be here all week. Look, what I'm trying to say is that I love you (Y/N). From the minute you arrived." Gaster looked at you with hope.

You were crying and he didn't know why.

"W-Why are you crying?" He panicked as he softly wiped away the teas while cupping your face in his hands.

"I-I'm just so happy, I love you too Gaster!" You hugged his and kissed his cheek.

Gaster's face flushed red as he hugged you back with just as much enthusiasm.

You both finally made up, even when hope was lost.

All because of those strange emotions.

I am so terribly sorry for leaving you guys like that. I never really found the inspiration to write these one-shots, believe me, I've tried so hard to continue this book, but my mind slipped away from undertale.

But, don't get your tails in a twist because I am back and I will be updating each week on Thursday! I know I'm being awkward but I will definitely do this because I no longer have the horrible tragedy of Writer's Block!

So expect for this show to get back on the road!
