"The Alpha and his pack are in Arlington now." Connie states, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. She looks confused for a moment. "They're at... Alex's house. Looking for Scott! Shit!" She exclaims and stands up abruptly.
I look at her in horror. "What's happening? What are they doing?"
Avi gasps and all heads whip in his direction. "Alex is onto us. The small accusation caused Scott's shield to falter. He heard a few of his thoughts."
"Fuck." I mutter under my breath.
"SHIT!" Avi yells. His voice cracks though. The tears are already welling in his eyes. "Alex got Scott under his control again."
I have to hold my tears back. I'm strong. This is okay. Scott can handle himself.
I hear Connie screaming at the Alpha in her head. I know he's hearing the thoughts.
'Gareth! Don't pursue! You have to leave, now! We're not ready for the battle yet. We still have two more days! Come to Mitch's house.'
A few moments later she breaths a sigh of relief. A few minutes later, there is a knock on the door. Eighteen people walk into my home.
"This is Gareth William. He's the #1 Alpha wolf in the world. And this-" She gestures to the sea of people. "Is his pack. We're still waiting on two more people. Another healer and a Lycan. Manny and Nathan."
Gareth has some majestic ass hair. It kind of reminds me of Avi's hair. He just doesn't have the beard or the eyes of Avi. Only the hair. No one could ever replace Avi.
"How long until the others get here?" Kirstie questions.
"Probably a few hours." Connie replies.
"We have to be on our guard from now on. Since Alex is on to our plan, he might attack early. We have to be extremely visualent. Vampires will keep watch since we're the only people who don't have to sleep. We'll alert everyone if anything fishy comes around." I explain and everyone nods. It's already around 4am so a lot of people go to bed. I'm left with Connie, Jaimie, and Caroline.
We don't converse with each other. We sit in silence, completely alert, all of our senses in full use.
Around 6am, two men knock on the door. I'm guessing they are Manny and Nathan.
"Everyone is sleeping. You guys can sleep too. I bet you're tired." I am answered with a yawn and a nod from the dark-haired man.
"Yeah we took a long journey here. We're from Sweden." The lighter-haired man holds his hand out for me to shake. "I'm Nathan. That's Manny." Manny is already trudging up the stairs to find a room.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Mitch. There are two available rooms closest the the staircase." Manny doesn't answer. He just throws one of the doors open and slams it shut.
Nathan flinches at the loud sound and turns to me with an apologetic smile. "He's very tired. He's usually very energetic."
"I see. We're on 24/7 watch because the person that is the reason why you're here has found out our plan. You'll be woken up if we see or hear anything strange." He nods and walks up the stairs.
We're plunged into a compelete silence again as soon as Nathan closes his door. I pick up my book and start reading, making sure to keep my ears alert.
About an hour later, I hear my favorite voice in my head.
'Mitch?'
'Scott! Are you okay!?'
'I will be. Once you're dea-AGH! Mitchie! Please save me! I'm going to kill you Mitchell!'
Alex is doing this to him. Scott let down his shield for a split second and look what happened.
'Scott! Tell me what's happening!'
'I'm gonna make it real slow and painful for you. I want to hear you scre-PLEASE MITCH HELP ME! HE'S GOING TO ATTACK EARLY! I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN- Be prepared Mitchell. You have no clue what's in store for you.'
'Scott? Scott!' Shit.
"Guys." The three other heads turn to look at me. "I just spoke with Scott... kind of. Alex is attacking early. He didn't get to tell me how early but Scott is fighting against Alex's mind control. One moment he was telling me to help him and the next he was saying he's going to kill me."
Connie looks pained. "I know my Scotty is strong. Hopefully we won't have to fight. We won't wake anyone up. We'll stay alert."
I nod my head and so do the others. I can't help but feel a bit scared, though.
If Scott doesn't kill me, Alex will. Either way, I die.
Kirstie comes down the stairs in a panicked manner. She's panting by the time she reaches the bottom of the stairs. Avi is following closely behind her.
"SCOTT SENT ME A MESSAGE!" Kirstie yells. I shush her immediately and she cowers a bit.
"Alex is planning his attack early. He's striking at noon." Avi says.
I look at the clock. It's fucking 8 o clock.
"Wake everyone up." Connie and I say in unison.
Kirstie and Avi run up the stairs banging on every door as they pass.
"STOP GROANING AND GET THE FUCK UP!" Avi shouts suddenly and I can't help but giggle a little.
After about 10 minutes, there are 33 people in my living room.
"It's time. Alex is attacking at noon. We'll be ready for it. No one fights unless given the word to. We won't fight if we don't have to." I am met with a sea of stern faces. "I want no deaths, no fights, and no issues if they can be avoided. I just want Scott back." I choke back a tear. "I just met a lot of you guys but in case this goes to shit, I love all of you. Thank you for coming here to help me. I will put my own life on the line before any of yours. Again, thank you."
Shit is about to go down.
