"No... No! No! NO! NO!" Alex screams as his hands clutch at his hair. I wince as I feel my own hairs being ripped out. The tingling feeling in my heart has intensified in the past few minutes, which is most likely the cause of Alex's breakdown.

He suddenly pauses his small breakdown. His head whips in my direction so fast that he must have gotten whiplash. Oh wait, I would have felt it.

He starts laughing... not just any laugh, but a menacing, villianous laugh that just screams 'bad news.' "You know, Scott." He starts. "I almost forgot how much of a piece of shit I am."

He just sits there smiling for a few minutes before speaking again. I wish the silence was worse than the words that escape his mouth. "No matter what, I'll end up killing you. You'll die. They'll suffer. Especially Mitch. Mitch will suffer more than anyone else. He'll never find out his true potential if he's too busy grieving over 'the love of his life'." He uses air quotes around the words and I feel my heart twitch. Mitch actually refers to me as the love of his life?

"Mitch will never realize he has the potential to rule the world." Alex mutters and if he spoke any quieter I wouldn't have been able to hear him, even with my good ears. "He's like every creature combined into one vampire body. He can shapeshift. He can use magic to freeze the entire galaxy, or end world hunger. He has the power to stop time. Shit, he could kill the entire planet and bring it back to life like that-" He snaps his fingers once before continuing. "But he's been blinded. Blinded by love... By his past... And by what he thinks is his future... It's sad, really."

"Who's sad?" Mitch asks loudly as he bursts through the front door. Alex's entire inquitious outlook has switched around to a seemingly innocent one in a flash.

What the hell was all of that? He's going to kill me? And all that stuff about Mitch? Is it true? That's what he meant when he said special. This is crazy.

"I am. Before you set my soul free, I have one final request..." Mitch eyes him suspiciously before lowering his guard.

"Okay."

"Let me out of this invisible cage before you set me free. Please." DONT DO IT OH MY GOD.

Mitch and Avi's eyes meet before they both shrug.

"I guess so." Mitch says blandly. Avi's eyes glow bright for a moment before the air around Alex thins out and he is released from his invisible cell. "Any final words before you're gone forever?"

"Yes actually." He takes a deep breath and stands. Every bone in my spine cracks and pops as he straightens it out. "I know you heard every word I said before you came in here. Yes, you're that special. That's why I kept you captive when I first changed you. I just couldn't stand the thought of someone being better than me. And I was so in love that I just didn't want to let you go. I still am in love with you, whether I show it well or not, and I want the best for you." He smirks and the same malicious laugh from before erupts from his throat. "But...

"It's too bad that you'll never be able to live up to your full potential." He swiftly moves to the kitchen using my speed. I watch in horror as he holds a large butcher knife up to his own (my own) throat. "Say goodbye Scott."

A/N: Change starts here ;)

"NO WAIT!" Mitch holds up a small device and presses a button. Is that a tape recorder? "Listen, Alex."

A deep breath, almost like a sigh, can be heard before a deep voice begins to speak. As soon as the voice floods the room, Alex's jaw drops and tears immediately form in his eyes. He lowers the knife so it is sitting limply in his grasp.

"Once I found out that Alex was gay, I hated him. I was in the mindset of 'no father wants a gay son' and I treated him like shit because of it. I feel terrible now but before I thought that it was perfectly reasonable. I just wish I could apologize to him... tell him I love him you know? He's so important to me. More important than any of his siblings or anyone else on this planet. When I found Sydney, I asked her to be my Little because I missed having my favorite child around and she has the same personality as him."

Alex has tears streaming down his face. "He loved me?"

"He still does." Mitch answers.

The knife falls from Alex's grasp. Suddenly, his whole aura changes. This dark menacing man brightens up, his dark clouded eyes become a clear blue-green color, his mouth forms into a small smile, his cheeks become a little rosey. "That's all I've ever wanted to hear... my entire life... those three little words meant the world to me."

A bright light shines around Alex and when it dies down, he is in his own person. Mitch's eyes slowly drift over to where I'm standing and he squeals before running over to me and jumping into my arms. I kiss his soft lips before turning my head to see what's happening.

Alex is lifted from the ground gently. He starts floating and he literally looks like an angel. "Thank you..." He whispers. "Now I can rest in peace." And he drifts away.

As soon as Alex is out of sight, Mitch drops to his knees and sobs.

"Mitchie..." I bend down and rub his back comfortingly. "What's wrong baby?"

"I missed you so much. And I'm so glad this is all over." He turns and wraps his arms around me, crashing his lips onto mine.

"Mitchell Michael Colby Grassi, will you marry me?"

A/N: The actual end! I hope you enjoyed this book and I'm working on ideas for another book to write because I really liked this. Shoot me some ideas if you want and I'll see if I can come up with a juicy plot.
