'Alex.' I reply bluntly. 'We never put his soul to rest.'

Scott tenses up and he clenches his fists so tight that his knuckles are white. And he goes silent... for like the third time today. I don't know what's gotten into him. But a possession could be the logical reason behind his freakout yesterday when he saw the blood and it could also be the cause of his silent mood swings. Because Alex had those... so, so often. Scott always defends his case, argues, or tries to reason with people so to see him just stop talking is weird for me... and of course, it reminds me of Alex and every single silent treatment I was met with after I pissed him off (if he didn't "punish" me of course). Which, again, was so, so often.

'I'll contact Kevin as soon as the final bell rings.'

He just huffs, seeming to be annoyed by my comment. This isn't my Scott. My Scott would have said "Okay, I really want to find out what's wrong."

I just want my Scotty back.

About halfway into the class, Scott takes a deep breath and relaxes into his chair. I stare at him as he keeps his eyes focused on the front of the class. This isn't Scott... right here in this moment, this is not Scott. His eyes. His beautiful bright blue eyes are  darker... the color of Alex's eyes. And his eyes are clouded over with... death. His posture is more relaxed and chilled out than Scott's usual alert stance.

Yeah. This definitely is not Scott.

The final bell rings after what seems like years. I quickly leave me seat to go out the front doors. Once I'm far enough away from the school I use my speed to get to my home. I practically rip my phone out of my pocket and dial Kevin's number.

He picks up after two rings. "Hey Mitchie."

"Kevin you need to get over here now! And bring a bag I need you here for a few days."

"Of course but may I ask why?"

"It's Sco-" Scott walks through the door with the same dead look in his eyes. He stands next to me and wraps his arms aroud my waist before kissing right behind my ear.

"Mitchie?"

"We'll talk when you get here. Please hurry." I hang up and shiver as Scott places featherlike kisses all over my neck and collarbone.

"Who was that?" He murmurs against my skin. Even his voice is deeper, huskier. Just like Alex.

"It was Kevin. He's staying with us for a few days." I answer and he huffs.

"Why?" He almost whines it. "I want you all to myself for the weekend. I don't wanna share you." He hugs my waist tighter and I use everything in me not to push him away.

"Because something's wrong and we need him to fix it." I reply calmly.

Suddenly, his arms fall from my waist. I look up to be met with the cold dead eyes of Alexander Kirk... not Scott Hoying. "Mitchie..." This is fully not Scott's voice anymore. It's Alex in the flesh... well not his flesh at least. "Nothing needs to be fixed. I'm okay." He smiles at me lovingly.

"No you're n-"

"IM OKAY!" I flinch away from his sudden change of tone. Then in a flash, it's back to normal but it still has an edge. "Do you think I'm different, Mitchie? Do you think I've been acting strange?"

"No I just-uh, I do- I ju- I ca-"

"DID YOU FORGET HOW TO SPEAK ENGLISH OR SOMETHING?" I feel the tears threatening to spill from my eyes as I stare at him in pure horror. He unexpectedly grabs me and throws me to the floor, pouncing on top of me. He grips both of my wrists in his hands and has his knees pressed on either side of my hips, squeezing a bit too hard.

The brunt of the impact knocked the wind out of me. All I could do was wheeze out three words. "Crushing me, Scott." He snarls and pushes more of his weight on me. I instantly feel my wrist bones breaking and I cry out. "Scott!"

"Scott's gone." He squeezes his knees together and my hip bones shatter. The tears are falling freely from my eyes as I scream and thrash in an attempt to get him off of me.

"MITCH!" I hear Kevin and Avi's voice at the same time screaming at me. Then Scott is torn off of me. I look up and both of then are still standing in the doorway, but Avi's Warlock eyes are shining bright. Thank God.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" I hear Alex's voice bellow from Scott's body. He lunges towards Avi and Avi's eyes glow blue for a moment before Scott crashes against an invisible force field. He glares at it while he hits it angrily. He tries to turn to walk away and faceplants into another force field. Kevin snickers quietly at Scott's confused expression. "WHAT THE FUCK IS SO FUNNY?!" He strikes the force in front of him again.

Kevin's smile immediately fall as his eyebrows furrow. "That's not Scott." He mutters and I nod.

"That's why I called you over here."'

His jaw drops slightly. "That's Alex."

Avi shakes his head. "We killed Alex. He can't compel Scott anymore."

Kevin just blankly stares at Scott. "Exactly. We killed Alex. And since he can't compel Scott anymore and we never put his soul to rest, he's possessed him."

"Holy shit." Avi mumbles after a couple moments. "Something like this hasn't happened in a long time."

I strain my neck to look at them before slowly moving my wrists. I knew it wouldn't take long for them to heal. My hips still hurt like hell, though. "But how do we fix it? He almost killed me like 5 seconds ago. We can't have that keep happening."

Kevin sighs. "You're not going to like what I tell you."

"Come on just spit it out, Kev."

"There are two options. One of them is going to take a lot of time and is going to be very difficult to pull off due to the severity of Alex's case. The other works everytime but you're not going to like it at all."

"Kevin. Spit. It. Out." I say impatiently.

"Well, first option is to try to find a way to put Alex's soul to rest. Once we put his soul to rest, he'll leave Scott's body and  we'll have to kill the spirit to make sure he never comes back."

"And the second option?" I say nervously.

If the only way to make sure Alex never comes back is to kill his spirit... and his spirit is inside Scott...

"We'll have to kill Scott."
