(AN: Trigger Warning.)
Kaycee awoke around 2 in the afternoon to the sound of Alan mumbling curse words under his breath. She rolled her body onto her side, facing him as he sat at the desk shuffling through papers. She couldn't help the smile that crept onto her lips. Alan heard her giggle and raised his gaze to meet hers. He smirked.
"Well good afternoon, Ms. Greyson." Alan rose from the seat at his desk, made his way over to the large bed, and sat at the foot of it. Kaycee giggled and propped herself up to look at him.
"Hi." Alan brought his hand up to her face and caressed it gently.
"I see you slept well." Kaycee nodded and began to chew her lip. "Good." He leaned down, letting her arm lay flat as he loomed over her. She smiled and pulled him to her, causing him to stumble and roll back onto the bed. She giggled as he groaned. "I have things to do." She smirked.
"I know." He smirked, noting the intentional innuendo. She began to place light kisses on his neck and oh-so-sexy jawline. He felt himself relax. He missed feeling like this. He missed knowing that she loved him relentlessly and that she was willing to give him another chance.
"You are just...too much sometimes." She giggled and leaned in to kiss him, but a loud knock at the door interrupted them. Alan sighed and went to get up but received a whimper of disapproval. He smirked, placed a soft kiss on her lips and left her to get dressed while he answered the door. He opened the door and was greeted by a fist flying towards his face. Unfortunately, he didn't dodge it in time. The punch landed square in his jaw causing him to tumble backwards. The "puncher" stepped into the house and began searching for something. Kaycee heard the commotion and, after getting dressed, she flew down the steps and heard rustling in the living room. Kaycee slowly made her way there and was greeted by an extremely un-welcomed face.
"Ryan...?" He spun around and the minute he saw her, he fell to his knees.
"Kaycee, baby, come back to me. I miss you. I'm miserable." He clutched on to Kaycee's hips, causing her to shift uncomfortably. Where the hell was Alan? Little did she know, he was watching and waiting with a large bruise on his face and a shit ton of range.
"I don't want you back." Ryan chuckled and stood.
"Babyyy, come on." He slowly backed her against a wall. "You used to love being with me. I made you so much happier than Alan ever could." Kaycee rolled her eyes, which caused Alan to smirk. "I miss holding you." Ryan leaned in closer. "I miss touching you." He snaked his hand down her waist, causing her to try and push him away.
"No." Alan saw the tears beginning to well up in Kaycee's eyes and stepped in.
"She said no." His voice was stern and laced with a rage Kaycee had never seen. Ryan turned around and scoffed.
"And what are you gonna do about i-" Before he could even finish his sentence, Alan swung, hitting Ryan directly in the chest causing him to stumble backwards. Kaycee saw the bruise on Alan's face and became livid. She stepped in front of Alan and threw another punch, knocking Ryan in the jaw. Alan smirked at how resilient she was.
"Kaycee?" She wasn't listening. She was punching and hitting smacking him until Ryan scampered out the front door. Once the door slammed shut, Alan took a step towards Kaycee. "Babygirl?" She whipped around, her breath heavy and ragged, her face stained by tears.
"I *gasp* hate *gasp* hi-" Alan pulled her to hi, letting her cry and be angry. She screamed and punched at Alan's chest. He picked her up and carried her to the couch, settling her in his lap and letting her get everything out.

One month later...
Alan's POV
I noticed Kaycee's mood shift very significantly over the past few weeks. She isn't as happy as she once was. She barely eats, she rarely gets out of bed, and she doesn't go out anymore.
I've been gone for a little over a week, I had a meeting about a new film I have been working on so I left Kaycee at the house. I called her everyday, she seemed fine and was acting like i had nothing to worry about. I come back home today and nothing could have prepared me for what I saw..
Third Person POV
Alan had finally managed to settle in, he assumed Kaycee was in the shower because he heard the water running. He was unpacking in his room and that's when he saw it. There was water coming out of the bathroom. He began to panic. He went to open the door but of course it was locked. He threw all of his strength and SLAM nothing, SLAM, almost there, SLAM. The door swung open and he raced to the tub and shut the water off. Kaycee, however, wasn't even in the tub. He looked around until he saw her on the balcony. It was a distraction. She was standing on the thick stone rail. Alan crept quickly over to the balcony door and opened it quietly, avoiding Kaycee's attention. He stood and stared at her, watching her face. She was crying, gasping for breath and clutching her chest. He could hear her whispering, "I don't want it. Make it go away." Alan took another step closer and before he could even blink she went to step and he lunged, sweeping her off the railing. Listening to her scream and cry.
"NO. NO. LET ME GO. I NEED IT TO STOP. LET ME GO. YOU LEFT ME. NO NO NO." Alan couldn't help but squeeze her tighter as tears welled in his eyes. He sat down on a large chair and pulled her so she straddled his waist. He had her by the wrists.
"Shhhh." She continued to fight, squirming and crying. She had finally stopped screaming. "Shhhh. My love, shhhhhh. I'm here. I'm never leaving you again." She was whimpering now, tears flowing like a river down her now red, splotchy face. She was still trying to breathe. Her gasps still frantic and ragged. He didn't know what to do so he kissed her, not gently and not softly. He kissed her with more passion and gusto than Kaycee was prepared for. She could barely breathe, but she needed him. She clawed at him, feeling his body pressed against her. She whimpered and clutched at him as if he was the one thing that could save her life and he was. When he broke the kiss, she held his face, swallowing relentlessly to keep the lump in her throat down.
"I-I'm s-so s-sorr-ry" Alan shushed her again.
"Enough now. We will talk later. I just want you to calm down now, okay?" She went to protest but he cupped her cheek and wiped her tears. "No, no talking. Just rest." And with that he lifted her up and carried her to the bed. She noticed the wet floor and sobbed.
"Alan.." He shook his head.
"Hush." He kissed her temple and laid her down, climbing into the bed and pulling her close to him.
"I love you." He smiled weakly and kissed the top of her head.
"I know, my love. I know."
