I am thinking about what to wear today and believe me when i say i do not have any clothes to wear. Not literally, because all these clothes i have wore many time. And I cannot repeat it on the first day of my second semester of college. It's a big deal okay.

I think i have to style myself then. I took a red checks shirt and cropped it below the navel region. Removing a black leather jacket from a hanger, i added a cute smiley emoji pin on the jacket. I added several other emojis on the jacket. I wore a blue denim jeans and a all glitter sneakers.

I took a glance of my reflection in the mirror. I think it will do

"Ana, honey come downstairs for breakfast" came a loud manly voice from kitchen. I ran quickly downstairs.

"Hey dad, good morning" cheeringly I replied.

"Good morning honey, here's the breakfast" patrick, my dad said while flipping pancakes.

Table was full of sliced fresh fruits and a glass of milk with french toast and honey. I was surprised. Its not everyday my dad make such an effort in making breakfast. What he is upto?

I sat on one the chair around the table and started filling my bowl with some fruits.

"What's the deal dad, what's all this fuss for?" I said pointing the breakfast table. Usually, we both don't do breakfast together. I pick something on my way to college and he eats in the office but we both do dinner together. Dinner is our happy time, were we cook and discuss about our days.

Today is something different about my dad, his mood is different from every other day, he seems over cheerful about something.

"Can't a father prepare breakfast for his beautiful daughter" he said as arranging pancakes on the table.

"Whatever patrick, now the reason please" i said. I took sip from my glass of milk.

"Fine Ms. James, your old man is getting a promotion anytime soon" he said casually eating his pancake.

Oh MY GOD, my dad is getting a promotion. He is such a hardworker and loves his company and very much loyal to his boss. He so deserved a promotion. He's been the manager of white corporation forever. Always a loyal one. I m so happy for him.

"Holy jesus, thats amazing dad. When did it happen?" I almost screamed out of my place and gave my dad a big hug.

"It was bound to happen honey, peter always had faith in me and now when he is retiring early to take a break from business and relax a bit. He will suggest me for the VP position in front of the board."

"That's a great news dad. I m so happy for you"

"Thanks and don't you have a college to attend?" He asked. In all this excitment i forgot that today was my first day of college. "I almost forgot" i replied.

Grabbing my bag. I once again gave my dad one of my bear hugs.
"I am going to the office today, they will appoint the new CEO and will announce all the promotion today" he said while being crushed in my hug.

"Tell me everything when i come back and now i want a big party and probably a long vaccation to paris soon, dad" i said.

"That's the topic of negociation honey, now go"

"Bye dad" i said, giving him a kiss on the cheeks. I left home.

While driving in my car on the way to college. All i was thinking about my life past all years. everybody says there's no such thing as perfect, but i do have a perfect life.

I mean i am 20 and live with my dad. Its only my dad and me. My mom died when i was baby, but dad had never made me feel the lack of motherly figure in house. He such an adorbs and lovely man. I don't want to leave him. We give each other alot of time and we have amazing father daughter moments.
