Almost found out

Cecile's Pov

I follow the path that leads to the castle where the knights training is.  I have been accepted as a knight under the name of Ciel, the male identity of herself that everyone knows.  No one knows that  I am girl, only that I am boy named Ciel.  Ever since I was young, I have been forced to dress and act like a boy.  I went a wig to hide my long hair which I don't know how it can hide it all.

"Geez, I only learn who I am a few days after I get accepted as a knight.  I wonder which guard I will be placed in, I guess I'll find out once I get there and I take a few tests."  Saying this, I sigh and raise my left hand while looking at the direction where the Southern Country's kingdom is where I was suppose to be born in.  "But it doesn't really matter, it's not going to change the fact that I'm going to protect this land that I love so much with my life.  Lost princess or not, well technically abandoned princess, as a woman I'm a good for nothing teenage girl who hasn't yet married yet.  But as a boy, I'm respected and admired for my strength, this is much better since I do not wish to marry yet."  I nod my head when thinking this because I wouldn't dare say this out loud.  I continue on my way to the castle while admiring the peaceful scenery, the trees are large and tall.  The sky is clear without a single cloud in the sky with the sun shining brightly.  Off in the distance there are animals and I can hear birds singing peacefully.  "It's like a fairy tale here."  

I decide to rest now since I've been traveling all day.  Plus I only need to be at the castle in the afternoon and it's still morning.  While everything may seem peaceful, it is not.  This country is at the brink of war with the southern country.  My half sister, apparently, fell in love with this counties second prince.  When their marriage was finally arranged, the first prince appeared because he had to attend a party to celebrate his younger brothers upcoming wedding.  The first prince is a mysterious person who always hides his face and dresses in black while wearing a black mask that covers his face too.  My sister, no  lets call her the south countries princess or rather spoiled brat princess is a even better name but I would get in trouble if anyone found this out so I won't except for in my head, anyways she fell in love with the first prince this time now and demanded our king that she marries the first prince instead.  This causes our second prince to become angry with the first prince because of two reasons.  One is because he also fell in love with the spoiled bratty princess and second because his pride wouldn't allow his brother to steal his to be wife.  Her mother also demanded that she marries the first prince and having two woman demand our king to do something, naturally our king will be furious.  He already didn't want his second son to marry the souths princess because of her bad reputation for being extremely close to nobles sons and rumors say she is no longer innocent too however his son loved her and that the only reason why he gave in.  But since they were trying to make his first son marry her, that he would never allow.  Both of the kings sons are intelligent but the first son excels in many things like wielding swords and weapons, solving finance problems in parts of the country that is almost bankrupt because of greedy people, etc.  There are rumors thought that the reason why the first prince hides his face is because he is ugly.  The souths princess doesn't believe this though, she says someone who appears to be so mysterious must be good looking.  So anyways, the country has been divided between those who want the first prince to rule or the second.  Tomorrow would be the second year since all of this happened.  The first prince was sixteen years old, the second prince was fifteen years old, the souths princess was thirteen years old, and I was fourteen years old.

"Everything is that spoiled brat south princess fault.  The country is at the brink of war because she falls in love too easily and thinks she can get whatever she wants, she and her mother even dared to demand our king to follow her orders of marrying the prince," I say sighing annoyed, "She should be responsible for her actions and fix everything.  Then the people don't have to worry about a war."
