Failed Mission

No One's Pov

A child stands before Cecile and Derek.  He has black hair that reaches his shoulders and light purple eyes.  He stands above them arrogantly with a crazy grin on his face.

"Found you~!"  His voice is sweet like honey but deadly like poison.  One that most people will become intoxicated with listening to it.  He stares at Cecile and doesn't give Derek a second glance, clearly not concerned about his strength and is confident he is nothing.  So this must mean that since he isn't overwhelmed by Derek he is strong.  Both Cecile and Derek narrow their eyes.  They both know that even though it's a child before them, this little boy is very dangerous.

"Who are you and for what reason are you looking for whoever this lost princess is?"

"Oh, there's someone else here!"  He looks at Derek with wide surprised eyes.  "I didn't notice, this must mean that this man is nothing~!"  He says in a sing song tone of voice.  He gazes at Derek with amused eyes with his eyebrows raised when he sees Derek not responding.  "Oh!  Quite a calm little piece of trash~."

"Why should I get angry over a child's nonsense?  What a little boy like you says about me means nothing, because I know you are all talk."  Derek provokes the boy tauntingly.  "So what is your purpose for coming to my kingdom, since it's clear that you are not one of my people?"

"Oh, so you are the prince?  Taking a closer look, I do remember that them prince of this kingdom is rumored to be ugly so that's why he hides his face behinds a mask~."  The little boy bends down and jump to the ground so he's level with us.  He walks over towards us and I put up my guard.  Maybe this prince can handle the boy but I know that I might have some trouble.  "As much as I would like to see your face, I have to complete my mission that mother gave me~.  And I'm not a little boy by the way, I'm older than both of you~, it's just that my mother wanted me to stay her little boy so she sacrificed many lives to make me stay young!  Oh how much I love my mother, she wants me to kill the forgotten princess so that girl doesn't get in my sisters way so I will have to kill you now~!"  Saying this, he jumps at Cecile aiming for her life.  Derek grabs Cecile and blocks the little boys weapon.  We are pushed back slightly before Derek knocks the hilt the boy's weapon.  As he had done this, he lead the boy further away from the castle to a maze.  "Wha!"  The boy looks shocked for a moment before he gets angry.

"You are strong, I could feel it from your attack, but you have a weakness.  You are too overconfident in yourself and you are too focused on attacking to even notice your surroundings.  Saying this Cecile notice that they are surrounded by walls of hedges with roses tangled in them.  And the ground, something is off about it.

"What do you mean?!"  The boy shouts angrily.  

"I mean that you didn't even notice you stepped into a trap," Derek says calmly and releases Cecile from his embrace.  She can still feel his warmth on his back and around her waist where he was holding her closely to him.  Cecile looks where the boy is standing and there is something strange that she sensed about the flooring.  Derek unsheathes his sword and stabs it into the ground.  There is some loud notices and I notice that it's coming from beneath the boys feet.  He also notices this and tries to jump back but it's too late.  He falls down the now open hole in the maze and scream.

"Eh!  What just happened?!"  Cecile asks Derek shocked.

"Our castle has many traps in it from back in the days to keep intruders out or to lure enemies into a place underground where they can easily deal with them," Derek explains this putting his sword back in it's sheath.  "Though only the men know about this, so my sister doesn't know that the place she enjoys tea is a place above where countless traitors and enemies final resting place lays."  Derek looks back at me now with cold eyes.  "Now who are you?  That boy was clearly after you, what is your true identity Cecile?"

Ling:  This is all I want to write right now, I'm actually surprised by how it turned out, I didn't plan on it being like this but now it is how it is I guess.  I'll update later today or tomorrow the next part/chapter
