Last Test

Cecile's Pov

Once Mira and I arrive at the castle, we part ways because the guards at the front gate recognized Mira and let her away to the princess and I went to join the other knights that arrived.  Everyone is getting ready for the last test which we will all be battling each other.  The last test is what they will use to see how we react in battle and how skilled we are.  Based on how our fighting style is, that will play a huge role is which guard we will be placed in.  Edward, Dylan, and Akira is all standing together.  But there is no sigh of Sage anywhere.  I decide to stand with them since Sage isn't here.

"Hey everyone," I call out to them as I walk towards them.

"Ciel, what's up?"  Edward says back.

"Hi Ciel," Dylan greets me shyly.

"C-c-ciel, hi w-what u-up," Akira says stuttering with a red face.  I suddenly had a thought that makes me pale.  

'Don't tell me Akira has fallen in love with me?!  I though she just had a cold, however,'  looking at her now clears my doubts, 'She really has fallen for me, hasn't she?'  I sigh.

"Edward, Dylan, Akira," I say nodding to them before asking, "You haven't seen Sage, have you?"

"No, but didn't you say you just need him?  Why talk with us?"  Edward questions.

I stare at him before sighing.  "I shouldn't have been so rude yesterday, sorry.  However it's true that I don't trust people that easily, due to certain reasons I can't say but it involves how I grew up, but yesterday I did trust you when I seen you fighting because I can tell that you wouldn't betray each other," I say awkwardly, looking away, when I think about how I acted.  When I first met them, I knew they were good people however I let my emotions get the best of me and lashed out on them.

They are silent and I look at them nervously, "Do you forgive me?"

"E-eh, well of course we do Ciel, right guys," Edward says and looks at them.  Dylan nods his head and so does Akira.

'So cute!  Is Ciel really a guy!'  Was the thoughts that went through their heads as they stare at the nervous looking boy in front of them.

"Ciel," a calm voice calls out and I turn around and see Sage walking towards us.  He is wearing a red shirt and black cloak.  His hair is tied up in a ponytail and some strands is left out and not tied back.  His sword is on his back and he looks at the group and I.

"Do you know who you are going against first?"  Sage asks me once he reaches us.

"Not sure, I do know that I need to win at least five of the eight fights though."  I tell him.

"Alright, now that everyone should be here we are going to announce who is going to fight against who.
