Cecile's Pov

When Derek looks at me with those cold eyes of his, it scares me.  I freeze not sure what to say.  Should I tell him who I really am?  Would he believe me?  Would my identity cause even more conflict between the two kingdoms and would everyone hate me?  Right now I am ambivalent.  I don't know what I should do so my head and thought are spinning right now.  Derek looks at me and sighs.

"We can talk later, I won't force you as long as you don't mean any harm to my kingdom."

"I don't!  I love this kingdom too much and I really want to protect it with my life!"  I say frantically when the thought that he questions my loyalty to the kingdom.  "Plus, for that man..." I trail off thinking of the past and why I love this kingdom so much.  Derek looks at me and nods his head.

"Yeah, I can tell that you wouldn't try to harm this kingdom.  Let's head underground.  That boy is smart and probably survived the fall so we should go capture him before we lose him."  Saying this he tuns around and walks away.  I snap out of my thoughts and stare at his back which feels all to familiar.  'Why does Prince Derek feel so similar to Sage?'  I ask myself when I think back on my previous thoughts this night.  'Could he be?  It's possible, they both are strong and their strength is exactly the same, not to mention their fighting style and movements.'  I choose to ignore this now since Derek is getting farther away from me.  Picking up my dress, I begin to run and catch up by his side.

"So do you know your way around underground the castle?"  I ask him curious if he knows where the boy could be.

"Yeah, as I said the men born in the royal family know about them so naturally we are also expected to know our way around it so if there is any need to use the passage ways and dungeon  in the future, then we can use it."  He explains this to me as we walk further into the maze.  We make many complicated turns left and fight and eventually I forgot which way we even came from.  Finally we come to a stop and I bump into Derek's back.

"Sorry," I apologize and run my nose since my face hit his back.  He turns to the left where the hedge is and walks through it! Sighing, I brace myself and walk through the thorny hedges.  Once I step through though, I come face to face with a wall with a door.

On the door is a carving of a man on his knees looking up at a female with what looks like shocked eyes.  The man is holding a sword and the woman's hand is placed on his cheek while staring at him with loving eyes.  It WOULD look like a cute lovers scene where maybe the man is asking for forgiveness from the woman he loves, and she forgives him for whatever he has done, if only not for the sword.  Dressed in a beautiful dress, that  sword is pierced though her heart.  It looks like she allowed for him to kill her.  They both have different clothing designs and looks like they are from different kingdoms.

I stare at it curious and Derek just opens the door with a loud creeping sound that shows that no one has been though here in a time. He reaches in and grabs a lantern, after lighting it he motions for me to follow him so I do.  After I step through the door, it closes behind me with a loud BANG.

"Follow me Cecile, you will get lost and never find your way out if you get separated from me," Derek says calmly and being in a place like this gives me the chills.  There is barely any light and there is spiderwebs everywhere and dust, dirt, etc.  Even though I was like a boy most of my life, I still hated getting dirty and being in dark places like this.  I grab the end of Derek's shirt and he looks back at me.  With the light in the lantern I see him raise his eyebrows at me and I mumble.
