I walked out of my room after thanking my maids for the wonderful job they did on prepping me. Of course, the dress was designed by Quinn to look like an angelfish, but my maids were the ones to sew it.
The dress was beautiful. The top was strapless with an open back, made out of a shiny, iridescent material that caught the light in many ways. The skirt was a light blue color with a sheer iridescent overlay that moved like liquid.
The shoes to go with the dress were the same blue as the skirt and had little fins on the sides that shimmered with every step. On my wrists were these little fins that were a similar blue color.
My hair was gorgeous as well. My maids put half of my hair in a braid that encircled my head, while the rest lay softly curled against my back. They entwined the braid with blue ribbon that matched the dress perfectly.
I caught Quinn's attention in the hallway and we started chatting on our way to the party.
"You look so nice, Grey!" She squealed.
I smiled."Its all because you were the one who designed the dress."
She laughed. "No, I'm serious, you look beautiful."
"Thank you," I nodded. "You don't clean up that bad yourself."
Her dress was beautiful. It turned out even better than I had hoped. The purple strands hanging over the short lavender skirt and the beaded top. Her hair was piled on top of her head in a curled bun and tied the whole outfit together.
"Thanks." She grinned with a laugh. "Let's get down to the party before we're late."
I nodded as we made our way across the marble floors, down the wide hallway.

"Here we are," Quinn smiled. "Let's go in."
The guards on either side of the doors opened them by the handles, allowing us to walk in.
"Thank you." I nodded my head in their direction. They just stood there.
I heard Quinn gasp beside me, so I turned my head to see why. I gasped as well as I took in my surroundings. It looked so beautiful. The palace knew how to decorate.
Since the party this year was an 'Under the Sea' theme, the room was covered with blue. It looked like the dance floor was covered in silver glitter along with anything around it. There were blue and silver streamers hanging all across the room, along with some coral lanterns. They even tied in the punch; it was a coral color!
"Wow," I breathed. "This is so pretty."
"No kidding." Quinn laughed. "This is even better than I imagined."
I nodded my head in agreement.
"Ahh!" Reagan screamed from across the room. The prince, it seemed, had scooped her up and was carrying her across the room with a grin on his face.
"Hey," Quinn tugged on my arm. "Someone wants your attention." She nodded her head across the dance floor.
On the other side, Nicholas was standing and watching me. His eyes burned into mine as we made contact. The dancers seemed to part as he made his way towards me on the opposite side of the floor.
"I'm just gonna excuse myself." Quinn started as she walked away, finding some guard to dance with.
I raised my eyebrows. "What are you over here for, Nicholas?" I ask, turning my attention fully to him.
