Chapter 13: I Feel Dizzy
PETER'S POV
"FIVE LAPS! LET'S GO!" My coach yelled. I always hate gym. Around the third lap, I could feel myself start to get dizzy and I couldn't run straight. I stumbled over to my coach, holding my head.
"Coach, I feel a bit dizzy."
"Okay, just go sit for a while before you feel better." I thanked him and went to go sit down, watching my class finish up their laps.

"Hey Peter!" Brooke exclaimed, wrapping her arms around me and kissing her lips.
"Hey babe." I said, hugging her back.
"Do you think we can take the bus home?" I asked, wrapping my arm around her waist as we walked.
"Sure, but why?"
"I just felt really dizzy for some reason today in gym class when we were running."
"Of course! Are you okay?" She asked, pressing the back of her hand to my forehead.
"I'm fine, I just felt a bit dizzy. I'm okay now."
"Alright." She smiled as we got onto the bus. We talked a bit on the ride home before we had to go seperate ways. I walked into my house, dropping my bag to the ground and walking up to my parents.
"How was school?" My mom asked.
"For some reason, I felt really dizzy when I was running in gym class today."
"Alright, how about you go lie down, take a little nap, see if that helps."
"Okay." I said, going back towards the stairs.
"Just call us if you need anything." She said aind I gave a thumbs up, climbing up the stairs.
*The Next Day*
"Alright! Pick a spotter and start lifting!" The coach announced, blowing his whistle. I paired up with my friend Tom and we headed over to a weight bench.
"Wanna go first?" He asked and I shrugged, adjusting the weights before laying down. I reached up and grabbed the bar, lifting it up and bringing it down close to me. After a few times, I began to feel dizzy again. I shrugged it off, continuing so I could finish my set. I had done nine when everything went black.
***
I woke up with an ice pack on my forehead and my arms, neck and chest hurting. I groaend and saw the school nurse above me.
"Hey Peter, are you okay?" She asked.
"W-What happened?"
"You passed out in gym class. Your parents should be here any minute to pick you up. Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah, just a bit sore."
"Do you have any idea of why you might of passed out?" I shook my head.
"My baby!" I heard my mom exclaim as she wrapped her arms around me. I groaned out in pain, causing her to quickly back away. My dad came in shortly after. The nurses talked to them for a minute before my dad picked me up and carried me out to the car, my mom following him. He layed me in the backseat as they got in the front and began driving.
"Peter, what the hell happened?" My mom asked.
"I just passed out in gym lifting weights. I don't know what happened. I was lifting, began to feel dizzy and then passed out."
"Feeling dizzy running and passing out when lifting weights. That's it, we're taking you to a hospital."
"No!" I exclaimed, shooting up, pain coursing through my torso, causing me to lay back down. "I don't want to go to a fucking hospital."
"Alright, but if something like this happens, we're taking you, deal?" I nodded and sighed.
***
"PETER!" Brooke exclaimed, running into my room. She gripped my face and kissed me for a few seconds before pulling away.
"Are you okay?" She asked, tears in her eyes. "I heard you passed out."
"I'm fine Brooke." I said with a small smile. She kissed me again, pushing the hair out of my face. I patted the spot on the bed next to me and she went around, climbing in next to me. I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her forehead, wiping the tears from her face.
"I promise you I'm just fine." I said, lifting her head a bit and kissing her lips.
