Chapter 19: End Of Year Dance
PETER'S POV
*Two Months Later*
I took a deep breath and knocked on Brooklynne's daughter, gripping the roses. Alex opened the door and I quickly widened my eyes before returning to normal.
"I-Is Brooklynne home?" I asked, quickly hiding the boquet behind my back.
"BROOKYLNNE!" Alex yelled, walking away.
"WHAT?" She screamed from the top of the stairs.
"DOOR!" He yelled back. She groaned and went down the stairs, her demeanor changing when she saw me.
"P-Peter?" I pulled out the flowers and dropped to one knee. I grabbed her hand, holding out the roses.
"Brooklynne Marie Gaskarth, will you go to the end of year dance with me?" She covered her face with her hands, tears falling from her eyes.
"You're so cheesy, yes I will Peter Thomas Carlile." She giggled. I stood up and hugged her tightly, pulling away and kissing her lips.
"Here." I said, handing her the roses.
"Thank you." She smiled, taking them from me.

"Have a good time!" My dad exclaimed as I closed the car door. I waved to him as we walked into the school. We just kinda hung out for a bit before a slow dance came on. We got up and I wrapped my arms around her waist while she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"I love you so much Peter." She said, resting her head on my shoulder.
"I love you too." i said, kissing the top of her head.
"I can't wait to go to the first semester dances with you. Homecoming, winter ball."
"I know. Also, I'll have my surgery done by then too."
"Yup. You'll be nice and healthy." She said, smiling up at me.
"Hopefully." I mumbled, pecking her lips.
"I always wondered why you were so much taller than me."
"Now we know." I laughed and she nodded.
"You're perfect."
"No, you're perfect."
"Just kiss me you perfect loser." I laughed and leaned down, passionatley kissing her lips, holding her close to me.

"I love you." I said, pulling her in for one last hug.
"I love you too Peter, kiss me quick." I nodded and kissed her lips for a few seconds before pulling away. I watched as she walked into her house, giving me the signal to go back to my dad's car. The year's almost over, which means, surgery.
