Chapter 12: Conflicts

"Hmph. You can be a stupid girl, you know that?"

"Why are you dating Yamazaki out of all people, do you think he is going to watch over you like I did for you? EXACTLY. "

"Then leave, if that's what you want.."

I had certain flashbacks the days where we were all pretty young, and Ikuya would just literally nag at me for my decisions. At first he did come off as annoying because he would always be up in my face for every single thing I decided to do in my life. He wouldn't shut up. But it was him, basically really watching over me and during the time having him around, I became used it. Here we are, reunited, but having a reunion where I pretty much got my ass whooped and had hims save me when he wasn't supposed to be around in the first place. I didn't know Ikuya was even around Tokyo. Well, how was I when I haven't spoken to him in years. His eyes stared at all my bruises and he gently took care of them like he was some doctor taking care of a child who got so many scars on himself or herself. Ikuya looked so grown up now and I'm actually surprised he actually toned himself up. He used to be pretty scrawny back then. Besides Ikuya being scrawny, I wondered how he was able to get himself out of the mess of being part of such a bad group after Sousuke and I left our own ways. Ikuya suddenly looks up at me and stares at me with those deep red eyes of his.

"Geez, you're damn quiet out of nowhere. You can't even properly talk to me, can you?"

"N-No. It's not that at all! I-I'm just..uh..really surprised to see you."

"Is that right?"

Ikuya presses his hands on my thighs and then pushes me lightly against the passenger seat. I rushed my hands to his chest and was about to push him away from me before anything else happened. Ikuya's stare looked really tough to even look at, that I just ended up looking away.

"Hmph. You are such a bore."

He backed away and continued wrapping a bandage on my leg. My heart started to beat all of a sudden and I held my chest. What was he trying to get out of doing that? Ikuya felt like he was some different person and I wasn't even used to this. Once he was finished, he got up and started putting back his med kit away and then getting into the driver seat. He started the car and then looked at me.

"Put your leg inside and let's go."

"Eh?! Where are we going? I need to go home."

"Go home, where? The garbage?"

I glared at him for trying to make a stupid joke on me. He flicked me in the forehead and then he started to drive off. I wasn't even thinking at the moment and he drove off with me in his car. What was I supposed to tell Rin? I looked at my phone and noticed there was no message at all from him and I held my cell tightly? All the thoughts of Rin was turning dark and I couldn't stand it. I rest my head on the window and just looked out while Ikuya drove. All I could hear was Ikuya breathing and just moving the steering wheel left and right. His driving was completely smooth and I could tell he was making sure he was driving at a good pace because I was in his car. I wanted to look at him again, but right now, I kept getting random flashes of Rin's face. I started to sigh and feel through my hair and then I noticed Ikuya stopping at a stop light. He put his hand on my cheek and I instantly backed away a bit. He continued to stare a me for a bit and then he let go and continued driving once the stop light turned green. We were silent but I was already getting weird goosebumps from what he just did. Once we got to the destination he took me, I was confused.

"Where did you take..me?"

Ikuya locked his car and then wrapped his hand around my waist and pulled me gently to the entrance of the place. It didn't even look like an apartment, it was such a big house. I was wide eyed and then he continued to stay silent. Once he unlocked the door, he gently pushed me in and I looked around. His place looked.....gorgoues. Well, not like it was some extravagant look, it was well maintained. He walked in and lightly throwing his keys to the counter and went over to turn on the TV. All I did was stand still, near the entrance way and he finally looked at me.
