Chapter 15: Happy End

"I need to have a word with my daughter."

The lady in front of us instantly said that without no hesitation. This was the mother that left my own dad and me to do whatever she wanted. I backed away from the entrance and Rin watched as I backed off.

"Hey, Aya. It's okay, I'm here."

Even when Rin said that, I felt an uncomfortable vibe coming from the woman. She just rolled her eyes at what Rin said and pushed Rin aside.

"I'm sorry for intruding but I'm here to only see my daughter."

The lady tried to grab a hold of my wrist and I just brushed it away.

"Get out of our house!" I yelled out to her. She gave me a really bad stare and I gave one back. You can't just instantly come towards someone's house and think that you can say I'm your daughter. It's like seeing my own dad and later end up finding out it really was my dad. From behind her, a man ran up quickly, trying to catch his breath.

"Dad?!" I yelled out to him. Rin already looked completely confused at this reunion. I looked at the woman in front of me and I see my dad trying to pull her back.

"Kaoru, it isn't right for you to just come to their home like this, you need to have more respect for-"

"Excuse me, but we aren't married anymore, and other than that, hearing from your big mouth that my daughter was actually in town with some..."

She looked at Rin's direction, and looked at him up and down.

"With a man, that doesn't really look that trustworthy."

Rin got in front of me and got in her face.

"Well sorry if I don't match your preference, but I will put my whole life just for Aya."

I was surprised at his answer and just pulled him by his shirt from behind him. Everything got quiet and this time I just thought that it was best to hear what this woman had to say. I took another look at her and she did have some of my features. Especially towards her personality and how she speaks, was definitely just like me. She may have abandoned Dad and I, but this was pretty much the woman I needed to speak to myself. I got in Rin's way this time and took a step forward. I need to act like an actually woman who knows her own independncy.

"Let's talk then, come inside."

I turned my back on her and walked off to the living room. Their footsteps behind me is all I heard while I was thinking of what she wanted to ask me. I haven't seen her since and don't even remember her at all. I looked back a bit and noticed her situation with my dad, Mr. Terashima, who was literally trying to speak with her to get out of our house and leave us at peace, but obviously she ignored his request and kept her eyes on me. We met eye to eye and I just immediately turned away. Rin was at my side and I was glad he was doing that. Everyone sat together, around the living room and waited for someone to speak. I see Rin crossing his arms and just wondering why she was even speaking yet. I wanted to say something but I wanted to wait until whatever she wanted to talk about. Until she finally spoke.

"As I am here in town, and finding out from your idiot father about you being here, got my attention. I wanted to ask how you were doing, especially from being a mother who had left you behind a long time ago, to do what I need to do."

I felt a major bitch attitude coming out of her mouth and I was practically getting annoyed by it. I continued to wait to see what else she got to say.

"Technically, I wanted to ask-"

She suddenly stopped with her words and I kept a close eye on her. She was looking down to her hands and then looked straight at me. The look in her eyes was completely serious. What the hell did she even want to ask that was so important? What's there that is even important since I don't officially know her? I started to think back when my dad and I spoke that one day about their past and telling debating to myself if I should believe it or not.
