"I want every single cat training. No matter how old of a warrior or how young of an apprentice, we all need the training." Dawnstar spoke to her Clan boldy. "We have less than three days before we are going to fight Thornstar." Dawnstar had instantly started preparing for Thornstar's attack when they rejected his offer. When cats weren't hunting or patrolling they were training. "Thornstar fights to kill and his warriors will be as well, I don't want you to have to kill a cat; but be prepare to." Dawnstar knew Thornstar's fighting style better than any other cat, he had trained her.

"For now, I want Bramblepelt, Rainears and Crowfur in charge of training." Sandfoot stepped forward. "Take small groups throughout the day and do a good session of training. I want every cat to get at least five sessions before the fight."

"Dawnstar," Dawnstar turned and saw Turtleblaze and Fawnheart standing before her. "We want to talk to you about Mudpaw and Earthpaw."

Dawnstar turned to face them. "What about them?"
"We don't want them fighting in this battle," Fawnheart said, her eyes filled with motherly concern. "They're going to fight later on, but I don't want them in the heart of the battle." Dawnstar thought for a moment, Earthpaw and Mudpaw really hadn't been apprentices for very long, they probably shouldn't be fighting.

"Very well," Dawnstar nodded, getting an idea. "What if they helped Pebblestep and the other medicine cats? You know they will object to not being able to fight; but perhaps this will let be helpful while staying away from the fighting."

Fawnheart shared a glance with Turtleblaze for a few heartbeats before they both turned back to Dawnstar. "They works perfectly." Turtleblaze mewed. "Why don't you go tell them, and Pebblestep away." He said to Fawnheart, she touched her nose to his before slowly padding away, then he looked at his sister. "You know, Dawnstar. This is going to be an extreme fight." He began. "Are you ready to lead SunClan in this kind of fight?" His eyes were filled with doubt and concern.

Dawnstar's stomach ached, was Turtleblaze really considering not fighting? Her own brother? "The only other choice is give in to Thornstar and that really isn't an option. If I do that, I'm giving up my own life, the lives of my kits and everyone else I'm close to. You know this, Thornstar only wants to see me dead."

"I'm not saying you're making a mistake." Turtleblaze mewed. "This is just going to be a terrible battle, I can feel it. I know we can't give in, and I will stand beside you until the very end but you have to understand...we may not come back from this."

Dawnstar lowered her head, Turtleblaze was right. There was a complete possibility that Dawnstar could fail, and if she did...then SunClan would fall. She shook her head. "I can't think about that, Turtleblaze. I can't think about losing, I can only focus on winning. I have to hold onto hope, not just for SunClan but for all Clans, Thornstar will tear them all apart if we give in." Turtleblaze closed his eyes and let out a small sigh, for a moment Dawnstar was concerned that he was disappointed, then he opened his eyes and they filled with a gentle glow.

"I'm proud of you, Dawnstar." He mewed, touching her cheek with his muzzle. "And I know that everyone else is too."

Dawnstar pressed close to her brother. "Thank you, Turtleblaze."

"Dawnstar!" She heard Snakewhisker's call and she turned, letting out a small gasp at who she saw with him. Behind Snakewhisker was Shadowstar, Violetfur and Jayfur. "Shadowstar said he wanted to speak with you."

Dawnstar left her brother's side and approached the MoonClan leader, he dipped her respectfully which she copied. "What is it, Shadowstar?"

"I've been thinking and I believe that we should all join together." He spoke, Dawnstar dropped her ears.
