DONOVAN'S POV
I was driving around, late at night, when a girl appeared in the road and I swerved to avoid hitting her. When the car came to a stop, I got out and ran to her since she fell."What the fuck?" She screamed.
That face... That voice... She was so familiar. I know her from somewhere. What was her name?
"R-Riley?" I stuttered.
"Donovan?"
"H-How've you been?" I asked in shock.
"You just tried to kill me!"
"I didn't see you."
"Pay fucking attention next time!"
"When did you learn such language?" I chuckled.
"Go away."
I picked her up, despite her not wanting me to help her, then she shoved me and walked away.
"Let me drive you wherever you're going." I insisted as I caught up to her.
"I'd rather walk." She bit.
"What are you doing around here anyway?" I asked.
"I live here. What are you doing here?"
"I'm heading home from a party..."
"Congratulations." She sarcastically said as she continued walking.
Again, I jogged up to her and she continued to ignore me.
"Come on!" I insisted.
"Just leave me alone!"
"I'm bringing the car."
I ran back to my car, then drove beside her, but she refused to get in and I hoped that people wouldn't recognize me.
"Riley, please get in the car!"
"For what?" She howled as she stopped walking.
"Because we need to talk!"
"There's nothing to talk about!"
"Why are you acting like you hate me?"
"Because I do!"
"What did I do to you? I haven't seen you in like a year!"
"Don't act like you don't know." She bit with a glare.
Before I could say anything, she jogged down the street, hailed a cab, then disappeared. I tried following the cab, but lost them at a light and sighed. I realized why she was mad at me and actually thought that she would've gotten over something that happened so long ago, but she didn't... And I felt bad.
