DONOVAN'S POV
I asked Riley out on an official date, so we decided to try something new. We decided to try archery, so I picked her up and she seemed excited. As I drove, I went to grab her hand and at first, she hesitated, but then, she let me. We talked about random things, then talked about the basketball game.

"I still can't believe that you beat my father." She giggled.

"I'm persistent, remember?" I smirked.

"I guess."

"Your dad even said that I can spend the night whenever I want." I grinned.

She shook her head as she laughed, then we arrived at our destination. It was kind of difficult at first, but we got the hang out it, then turned it into a competition.

"Winner chooses tonight's activity." I challenged.

"We're getting ice cream." Riley smirked.

"If you win."

"First to get a bull's eye wins."

"Bet."

We shot a few arrows, then I saw Riley focus. Before I could say anything, she let go of the arrow and hit a perfect bull's eye. My jaw dropped, but I smiled when I saw how her face lit up.

"I did it!" She cheered.

"Alright, you win." I laughed.

"Ha! Ice cream time!" She grinned.

I held her hand as we left and she grinned since she won.

"How'd you do that?" I asked.

"Because I'm awesome."

"You are."

I kissed her cheek, then we got to the car and drove to an ice cream shop. She ordered chocolate chip cookie dough and I got Oreo flavor.

"This is so good." She gushed.

"It is. Hey, let's go to the park." I suggested.

"Okay."

We walked as we ate, then sat under a tree.

"So, why do you hesitate around me?" I asked.

RILEY'S POV
I almost choked on my ice cream when he asked that question.

"I don't." I said.

"You do. And you almost never kiss me first."

I was silent for a while as I got lost in my thoughts, then Donovan sighed.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't-"

"I'm scared." I said.

"Of what? Me?" He asked.

I couldn't bring myself to say yes, so I looked down.

"I'm sorry." He softly said.

"Don't be." I comforted as I leaned on him.

He kissed my head in response, then I giggled as I remembered something.

"Did you really have to dunk on my father twice?" I laughed.

"Oh that? Well... Three times, actually. And sorry about that, I got a little carried away." He nervously laughed.

"I found it funny... And very hot."

"Oh really?"

I nodded, then he cupped my chin and kissed me, causing me to smile more. We started laughing, then I force fed him some of my ice cream.

"Are you trying to kill me?" He laughed.

"Never that." I smiled.

"Because you'd miss me?" He smiled.

"I would." I giggled.

He smiled even bigger, then kissed me before I stole his ice cream and ran.
