RILEY'S POV
My father and I were going to Donovan's so that my father could play him in basketball and when I told Ethan, he immediately came with us."I've got to see this." He smirked.
We headed over and while Dad talked with Donovan's father, we waited outside.
"Kiss?" Donovan asked as he hugged me.
"Nope."
"Babe-"
"Rejected!" Ethan laughed.
"Let's make a bet." Donovan offered.
"I'm listening." I said.
"If I win, you tell me why you hesitate to kiss me."
"Oohh..." Ethan said, causing me to elbow him.
"It's a bet."
I wasn't too worried since my father used to play college basketball and almost went pro. When Dad came out, so did Mr. Bowman.
"Ethan, perfect, you're dressed for the occasion. How about a game of two on two?" Mr. Bowman smiled.
"Sure."
Yes, my brother was a typical guy who happened to be wearing basketball shorts and Jordan's. So basically, it was Donovan and his father versus Ethan and Dad. When the game started, I giggled at how competitive they got and was actually surprised since Dad could still play so well. Being college boys, Donovan and Ethan of course played shirtless and I, of course, checked out Donovan. I laughed as the game continued since it got serious, but eventually, Ethan and Dad won. After the game, I took a group selfie with them, then Donovan challenged my dad to a one on one game.
"Daniel, you and me." Donovan smirked as he tossed my father the ball.
"I like you. You're persistent." Dad smiled.
"You have no idea." Donovan smiled as he glanced at me.
I rolled my eyes and Ethan elbowed me, so I flicked him, then he pushed me, so I pushed him back. Then, he slapped the back of my head and ran, so I chased him. I tackled him in the grass, then turned to the court and saw Donovan dunk on my father.
"Holy shit." I gasped.
"Oh yeah, Jack told me that Donovan's on the team." Ethan said.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I questioned as I sat on his stomach.
"He's your boyfriend. I thought you knew."
"I... I didn't..."
"Ri, have you tried to get to know him?"
Now that he mentioned it, I realized that I've spent so much time trying to build a wall between us, that I never tried to get to know him.
"No..."
"Change that."
"But-"
"Look at how hard he's playing against Dad so that you'd let him in."
"You have a point."
"I know. I always do."
"Don't push it, Reino." I laughed as I flicked his forehead.
As we watched the game, my jaw dropped when Donovan made a 3 pointer and won the game.
"Good game." Dad smiled.
Dad shook his hand, then went inside with Mr. Bowman, then Donovan walked over to us.
"I won." He smirked.
