DONOVAN'S POV
I waited outside Riley's school for her to finish, but when she walked out, she was with a guy. They smiled as they talked, then her ex walked up to her. The first guy left and she folded her arms as her ex started talking.

'Why the fuck is he near her?' I thought.

When he said something, she giggled and I got pissed, so I got out of the car. As I walked over to them, he hugged her and I almost snapped. I noticed the attention I was getting from the other girls, but the only thing that was on my mind was getting him off of and away from her.

"Ri." I said as I approached them.

"Hey." She greeted with a smile.

"You ready?" I asked.

"Yup. Bye, Noah."

As we walked back to my car, I smirked since she shut him down so fast... Just for me.

"What's the plan?" I asked.

"Take me home, please?" She quietly asked.

"Anything for you." I smiled.

I drove her home and she seemed to not be feeling well, so she went inside and waved me off. When the door closed, I sat there for a bit until Jack invited me to the skate park. I went home and got my board, then met him at the park. After skating for a while, I spotted Ally and went over to her.

"Sup?" I greeted.

"Hey."

"Can I ask you something?" I asked her.

"Sure."

"Is Riley okay?"

"What do you mean?"

"Today, she wanted to go home. Plus, she's hesitant with me. I can't even get her to kiss me first unless I ask her. On top of that, she told me she's scared."

Ally let out a long sigh as she raked her fingers through her hair.

"Riley's scared of you. She has trust issues and doesn't want to get hurt again. Her first boyfriend was her longest relationship, but he cheated on her for not putting out. Plus, he hit her a few times, that's why she flinches when you reach for her sometimes. Then, you came along and although she was reluctant, we got her to go out with you. I don't know why she slept with you, but she did and you dipped after that. Then, Noah came and cheated on her too. Basically, she's scared of catching feelings and falling in love since she doesn't trust. And, she's scared that you're gonna pull that same stunt again."

"But... I'm not gonna do that."

"She doesn't know that... Rather, she doesn't believe that. You have to prove yourself to her."

"Wait, is that why she wanted to go straight home today?"

"That? Nah, time of the month. She's got really bad cramps. My guess is that she's in bed watching Netflix."

"Thanks, Al, I gotta go."

"Where?"

"To take care of my girl." I grinned.

"Go get her, Tiger."

I hugged her, then went to the store to pick up snacks and headed to her house. Ethan let me in and when I went to her room, I smiled since she was in bed watching Netflix. Without saying a word, I climbed into her bed and handed her the bag.

"What's this?" She asked.

"Look and see."

She looked in and smiled when she saw all the snacks.

"Thank you." She weakly smiled as she leaned into me.

"How're you feeling?"

"Still waiting for the meds to kick in."

I kissed her cheek and rubbed her stomach, then we chilled in bed.
